I still can't believe the news, I didn't know him personally but I knew of him and fought against him many times in game.

Never knew the guy, but read the (Mittani) article about him. It does make you stop and think who we truly are and what mortal lives we lead beyond this immense, online universe.
RIP and may our thoughts and prayers be with their families.

didn't know the guy and i'll not miss him... However, honestly my thoughts are very much with his family, being a father myself I can only slightly understand how dreadful things must be for his wife and kids. I have seen a lot RIP Vile Rat, not from me, would seem some how odd for me to say it as i never knew the guy. I certainly don't morn the hundreds of my country men who have died doing similar things. That being said, if I might make a couple of comments, would be awesome if we as a community could make something positive happen. I have seen ppl asking for a monument to be erected, 100% behind this and I think a fund rasier is a great idea. Not sure if a PLEX is a good idea, as that would only make ISK that could not help at this time, however I seem to remember there is already a pay pal accoount open for real cash deposits. It would not hurt for CCP to refund his subscriptions... for the time he has been playing, frankly.. shame on them if they don't, this is guy who help mould eve and has given a lot his time to benefit us and ccp.

I never knew you Vile Rat, we never met or spoke or anything like that. You lived at the other side of the globe, spoke a totally different language than mine. You were so far away and yet there is this one game that bound us: EvE online. It sheds a light on our common interests as gamers, which in turn unsettles me greatly since unreasonable hate is never far away.

My heart goes out to those who have to mourn. May they find the strength to get through these hard times.
An endeless journey has started for you now fellow eve player, I wish you can find your place amongst the stars.

Kudos to those that have helped keep this thread positive. That's perhaps one of the best legacies of all for Sean, aka "Vile Rat."

I never met him, I'm a new player.

I've read of him and read some posts and other things he has written.

My sympathy goes out to all of you that new this man in and out of the game world. To his families and friends.
