. . . and hire him as a remote, part-time consultant for the duration of ship balancing.

The more I read of Elise Randolph, especially in the CSM Summit Report, the more I'm convinced that there is no better qualified player in EVE Online to handle ship balancing.

I'm sure many of the devs have a good handle on the situation, but how often do they play the game? To really be able to understand what is needed, you have to play the game regularly, be familiar with situations only a long-time and active player can be familiar with. CCP Fozzie is excellent, nonetheless, but CCP Fozzie plus Elise Randolph equals excellence plus more excellence.

Elise is not just any long-time player. He's flown every ship there is to fly. Been involved in nearly every major operation that EVE players have engaged in. Is familiar with everything from 1v1 to small gang warfare to massive super-capital fleet warfare. Elise is not only a top-ten pilot, he's active in this game nearly every day. He's seen it all and done it all. He's a expert theorycrafter when it comes to ship fitting. Dude is EFT in flesh and blood.

Read anything on ship balancing, where Elise gets to weigh in with his experience, you cannot be but impressed by the breadth and depth of his knowledge.

Of course, why hire someone when you get them for free. If Elise decides not to run for CSM8, CCP would be damned crazy not to snatch up Elise's expertise and experience for a price.

Will Elise fix the Blackbirds cap?

Even with perfect skills the brobird can't even do a <70au warp Cry

Problem with this - is the cap is quite balanced as far as cap use for the ECM in my opinion.

Lots of ships have warping issues, 70au is kinda harsh though I admit ;)

I'm seeing lots of claims but not a lot of evidence backing you up... Personally you sound like you know this person which if true slightly slants your post.

In fact this is just a weird post period.

It's a shout-out for a job well done, especially regards he being a sounding board to CCP on ship balancing.

"Well done Elise on your in game ship balancing!" would have sufficed I think.

I'm glad Elise is doing a good job as I actually voted for Elise in the elections but the OP post is still over the top.

Supers are fine, they still excel at killing other caps, but are no longer an iwin button. I wouldn't be suprised if Elise was one of the ones on CSM6 that supported the super nerf.

He is on CSM and as such can influence the ship balancing quite substantially if he wills.

Btw I would go with Prometheus if the balancing was done only around small scale pvp.

RIP Vile Rat. I never knew you personally, but anyone who plays EVE is okay in my books. We need to get CCP to organize a memorial or something.
