I have a Tengu with 2 Medium Core Defense Field Extender II rigs and a Medium Anti-Explosive Screen Reinforcer II rig.
With out getting rid of the rigs what is a got fit for level 4 missions or solo wormhole?

you do not want these rigs for missions. if you use them, you might as well fly a drake instead of a tengu. it *might* be useful in C3 wormholes wih their neutnig battleships but honestly, if you wnat to go into wspace you might as well leave this one in a pos for when some hostiles come to visit.

I should buy an Ishtar.

You WILL waste a lot of your dps if you don't change your rigs. Use at least 1 acceleration bay and 1 flare+1 EM or extender.
Then for lvl 4's a couple faction BCUs T2 launchers T2+Faction ammo, pick a faction AB everything else can be T2 it's more than enough to burn through lvl 4's and even 5's.
However this is only possible if you have very good fitting skills and perfect missile skills to get the best dps out of it (750 with T2's and over 900 over heat)
Of course the SB should be Dead space mod but size will change depending on how you play, your skills, mission difficulty level (4 or 5) ans space you fly (high/low), for wh can't help you.

The key to the tngu is cap stability. Even if it is just by 1.0Gj/s, that is enough to be stable. You need to be able to run all your mods without running out of cap.

That is why you see faction and deadspace mods, like the sm shield booster. In some cases it is nice to have a bigger amount boosted, but it is more important to have less cap use.

For level 4s, use a standard Tengu PvE fit. (4x BCUs, AB, Fury ammo for cruisers and up, T1 for elite frigates.) However, try to slap on a TP to make up for the lack of a rigor rig. You could use a web, but some elite frigates like to orbit just outside web range.

If you start getting hit too hard, switch to T1 ammo (since Fury missiles penalize your sig.) Shouldn't be an issue though.

Easy:

1. Buy another Tengu (no subsystems, though)
2. Stick all subsytems from rigged Tengu on yet-to-be-rigged Tengu
3. Put appropriate rigs on yet-to-be-rigged Tengu

Problem solved.

Looks like I'll need another Tengu. Is the current one good for anything?

Don't think that works. You'll need a second set of subsystems for a 2nd Tengu hull because you can't remove subsystems from the first Tengu hull, instead you have to replace them. Swapping out the "good" subsystems with cheap subsystems is an option.

And lose the rigs by doing so, which is what the OP is trying to avoid doing.

So looks like I'll repackage it if no one can come up with a fitting it is good for.

That tengu with extender rigs could be used for missions or fro running incursions. Its not optimal for missions TBH but it will work!

Problem is, its omnitank will be pretty low.
