games gone to crap - solo pvp is deead

The best fights I've ever had were... all ganks. Heh. But ganks of shiny stuff, a Cynabal and and a Tengu, and in which my main contribution was my having activated a warp disruptor in a timely manner.

in every instance so far as my last test of "JUst for ***** and giggles" there has been at least 1 logi and / or Falcon in a fleet much outnumbering myself

now obviously i got around 90m sp and my fit is worth about 2 billion, so a fair fight would be at least 3 or 4 average battleships vrs me or 7 or 8 bc's vrs me, so i wasnt expecting any 1 v 1's....

but everything in this game is now just numbers game

but whatever im not the last to go for this reason.

If you're willing not to cry every time you get ganged up on... RvB is a very viable option. Although the bigger the ship you bring the more people that will try to gang up on it...

Seriously though, give RvB a try. Accept the fact that you are going to have to provide the good fights for yourself by managing engagements (doesn't look like you're trying atm). This is one thing a lot of people join RvB and then cry/rage quit over, YOU must make sure that YOU get good fights, or what you determine to be good fights. Also, being a **** often results in instakick (directed at everyone).

It isn't the same as null/other PvP, a lot carries over but it is different and you need to be able to adapt to a much denser environment with fewer options for tactical movement (jumping around through systems), there are some strange counter intuitive fits that work and strategies that work really well here but no where else. You will see soloers, small gangs all the way up to mini blobs filled with F1 jockies who are function-less without an FC and everywhere in between. Basically check the "leet null PvP'er" at the door and get some pew on.

I didnt want to reply to this thread here, but i do it anyhow.
Saying u cant solo in battleship is bullshit, but most of your fights have to be on gate or station where u can deaggro and dock/jump. If you see logi deaggro call your drones and go away or pull some of them on otherside of the gate. Falcons yeah if you have chance send your drones on them but in most cases they too far. Up side is they help u deaggro.

Other thing what ruins this game is killmails. Most new peeps are so consearned about the killratio like someone here mentioned 4:1 blah blah??? What does it really matters if i had fun. Probably someone looks up my killboard and says man u suck, only noob kills and expencive losses etc. Well i had fun making em km and i dont run around like madman who needs to show 10 km or more to stay in corp. I play this game when i want and how i want.

So i say Predator dont go away just yet as told go RvB i have heared good things about them. Have to say not participated myself tho.


And people are affraid to even talk to attackers in most my reasent kills i would of left them alive and let leave id they would of sayed anything. They just silently shruged it out and died.


Stay eve is fun. Even solo. Get a corp where there are not many rules and regulations one of them layed back ones and you may find someone who wants to be your wingmate and 2 rohk team rules most gatecamps logi or not.

i get solo pew all the time. OP is being ******** with his method of finding fights if he things that a bs is the proper engagement vessel for those areas. If you going to do it, at least do it right and get in a nightmare ffs.

Massive refers to the EVE universe, not every single fight that occurs there. RL is huge, and yet duels and assassinations have changed the course of history and probably will continue to do so long after we are dead. That's what all the pilots that can't press F1 F2 without daddy giving em the reach around will never understand.

M8 solo pvp is not dead. I solo pvp a few days a week and always find fights. I die 9/10 times because Im a baddie, but I definitely get fights. You are doing it wrong.

The ironic thing here is that there are so many rich boys with high sp clones flying around in bling fits that no one is going to take any chances. A solo bs in lo sec looking for a fight is almost certainly on steroids these days so anyone would be an idiot to engage one "fairly". Don't even get me started on blinged up 100Mn tengus/legions etc. Plus there is the ever present hot drop issue.

So really any sensible person faced with a maelstrom picking a fight in lo sec will either ignore it or blob up enough to overwhelm its crystal asb leet tank before it kill severyone or drops a cyno.

Massively Multiplayer means simply that it's a large game world with a lot of people playing in it. They could all be playing solo or in a single team, either way it's still an MMOG.

People who think MMO means you have to be teamed up boggle my mind.
