As an old alliance mate of mine said,

Dones are piloted by cats.

That is the source of the problem.

edit - But really it's the interface that needs work. Most of the time they follow the aggressive or passive and attack as a group commands, however you have your settings configured. Most of the time.P

Focus Fire working would be great. I would also love a button that would allow me to limit the size vessel I want them to attack. Having 2 light drones fly out to a BS while the other 3 keep with the Frigs is just annoying.

Yeah what is Focus Fire supposed to do, I've left it on and off and I haven't noticed anything different.

Remove Drone Interfacing. Double drone stats to compensate. Refund SP.

No other weapon system starts out as so terrible that it needs a +100% bonus from skills.

Yeah, why should it take so long to get into a carrier?
It's almost as if that boost is for carrier pilots! How dare they get such a boost? It isn't as if they need any more dps.

Yeah, I like watching my little drone fleet tear through targets, of course should I ever find myself in a fleet with many dozens of drones buzzing around I might be forced to turn the models off.

And when it comes to texture updating why shouldn't drones get updates, they are after all tiny ships in their own right and I suspect they might even be easier to retexture than larger ships.
