Mining Drone Miss-behaviour

I have noticed a few things regarding the drone problems.

When I am mining with three asteroids locked. One for the drones and one for each strip miner, if one of the strip miners depleates an asteroid and you get the "asteroid reduced to its former glory" message sometimes that will also trigger the drones to stop at the end of their current cycle even though they are working on a different asteroid. (I have 5 drones and a retriever)

If you have drones and one strip miner on the same asteroid then you get the "asteroid reduced to its former glory" message (when the strip miner depleates the asteroid) When you reasign the drones to another asteroid they will only do one mining cycle then stop. As if the stop trigger from the last asteroid was still waiting to complete. Now i think if some of the drones depleate the asteroid when you send them to the next ones the drones that where still mining still hold the stop trigger and thats why you sometimes get a split of idle/mining drones.

Drones are really iffy im constantly having to babysit them because they go idle all the time. This is not because my cargo hold is full ;) If its been done on purpose to disrupt mining bots then cool.

Any thoughts?

Welcome to drones — they all do that (and just about anything else that is completely contrary to what you'd want them to do).

Blame Gallente design… P

Pretty much this. Drones have always done whatever the hell they want ... closest comparison to drones is trying to herd kittens...

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia
