missions: FW vs hi-sec

Just a quick question from someone who's made their money off industry, trade and general carebearing (therefore having never even done a level 4 kill mission):

How, generally, does the moneymaking potential in FW missioning compare to standard hi-sec fare? I know CCP have shaken up FW lately, which skews things a bit, but my question is this:
is FW markedly inferior to high-sec missioning, or comparable for a skilled and smart player? I'm thinking about trying out the FW scene because of the pvp aspect, and the fact that sneaking around running FW missions frankly seems less boring than dealing with hi-sec agents...I just don't want to get in and then find out that FW missions are worthless for making money. Mind you, I've spent lots of time in lowsec so I know missioning there is no walk in the park. I'd just like to know that it's relatively comparable, so I can make up some of my pvp losses.

Any input appreciated, thanks!

The raw cash rewards for FW missions are comparable to good hisec L4 missions, but you don't get bounties for killing ships.

Most of the missions in FW are blitzes - you have perhaps half a dozen targets to kill, and often enough, it's just one target. You don't want to laze around and mop up the hostiles, anyway, because not only are all the FW missions in low-security space, but your mission space is visible across the system, so anyone looking for a juicy target knows exactly where to find one.

The bulk of the payout in a FW mission is in the loyalty points - upwards of 20,000 LP for a Level 4 mission given by a low-sec agent. (If you've got a team, you can try to wipe out all the NPC's in the mission space and loot tags, which should give some spectacular payoffs in their own right.)

Thanks for the input! Yeah, I'd heard that LP was pretty much the entirety of what you get in mission payoffs from FW, and as long as it's not a useless side-bonus, I'm fine with that. I'd heard about the coming nerf - but it's just doing something about an FW exploit related to plexing, right? So it shouldn't have an effect on mission LP?
