This was a pretty interesting article. http://www.cracked.com/article_18461_5-creepy-ways-video-games-are-trying-to-get-you-addicted.html?wa_user1=3&wa_user2=Video+Games&wa_user3=article&wa_user4=recommended

See how many of the psychological underpinnings of gaming you can find in EVE!

Great. Now no one will read it. It was meant as a conversation starter. Perhaps I should have linked the underlying article.

Hey CCP, can we get some light shooting out of our crotch? That's what Eve needs, crotch light.

Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.  - William Pitt

I've played wow, stopped playing after I got the pvp title I obsessed over, which was during the time the achievement system got implemented, those made me chuckle abit. I'm competitive, not braindead (no offense wow'ers).

I found that kind of gameplay far too time-consuming, in eve progression (skills, isk through PI) isn't entirely tied to my personal time (you win guys).

I liked the part with the dolphins, didn't know they did that.

OK, this disturbed me the most:

Quote:
It is very much intentional on the developers' part, an appeal to our natural hoarding and gathering instincts, collecting for the sake of collecting. It works, too, just ask the guy who kept collecting items even while naked boobies sat just feet away. Boobies.

*headdesk*

If I ever end up like that, please shoot me.

Also, I do have all three of those 'aspects' to my work. Probably why I'm not interested in most MMOs (or normal ones anyway).
