New meta/named modules

Hey, I was just wondering why all the newer modules that have been added (and some of the old ones) in the last few years don't have meta/named equivalents? To list a few:

Tractor beams and Salvagers
Analysers and Codebreakers (not new but still relevant, I think.)
Cloaking Devices
Warp Disruption Field Generators
Bomb Launchers
Probe Launchers


Some of these have no equivalents and some have Faction/storyline versions but none (as far as I know) have named versions. Have they decided not to add these types or do they just not have the time to balance so many new mods? Are they even necessary? Your opinions please.

Addendum: Some of the most recent have not been listed, these are the Inferno Prototype modules such as the Ancillary Shield Booster, Reactive Armor Hardener and Target Spectrum Breaker.

You can add pretty much everything drone-related to your list.

But why exactly do you want meta versions? Just for the sake of having them or do you see a specific purpose to adding them? About all I can conjure up is that they might be nice as invention components but that's about it.

Agreed.

I have max salvage skills and a full T2 fit on my Noctis and I can still only tractor stuff from 94KM away. It'd be good if Faction Tractors were released that could pull stuff in from like 120KM or something so I don't have to move at all. It's a real effort to move 2KM to get that last wreck that's just out of reach...

Those are all niche items. They are mostly only used on specific ships and/or specific purpose fits. So their lesser use might have caused CCP to consider it not worth it to develop meta versions.

You really don't need meta versions for most of those modules. You mostly fit your ship around them as they often define it's role.

I wasn't talking about Faction stuff, just meta level 1-4 mods. And I was only asking why these types aren't being introduced any more, I don't want them to be added but it would be nice if they were, to add variety.
