What do you miss from the older clients?

1. Old Intro - much more info about EVE universe for Newbies
2. Galente station - 2nd interior - more variety
3. Old navy and pirate ships textures - without gay-camo placed on every ship.( I Know that CoD and BF are popular now, but it doesnt belong on internet spaceships game)

The electrical effect on warp gates.

POS shields that didn't make it look like my monitor was broken.

Still a bit nostalgic for the old font, despite its many shortcomings...

I miss the "Corporate Hangar" button.

One-click access was clearly over-powered though. :P

i only play for a bit more than a year but i also saw the old intro on youtube and it's so much better than the current one...

also one thing:

old eve font... still miss it

I miss the only log on screen with the Maller pew pewing. :/ Only love the Amarr has ever got.

I miss the innocence of the unknown...

Nearly every new character is assumed to be an alt of someone else.

Every other module and / or rig fitting to a ship that are not "perfect" are considered "lol fits".

Every aspect of the game has been broken down and dissected and then categorized into minimum / maximum categories. If you are not doing the maximum, then you're doing it wrong.

What you consider fun will be critisized by others while they push CCP to nerf your fun into forcing you into their version of fun.

I miss the widescreen black bars at top and bottom. Made everything 10x cooler.

I also miss the old font. System names in the old font were cool.

I also miss how the camera used to stay focused on the ship until it was done exploding. Now the camera just snaps back to your ship the instant the ship you were looking at begins to explode. So it makes it difficult to watch any exploding ships.




Then again, maybe you wouldn't, because those explosions don't look like they've been updated.

The Old Carthum Conglamorate ships, back when you could actually tell them apart from stardard Amarr ships, which honestly wasn't too long ago. They had a nice Gold and Red colour scheme, but now my Crusader just looks like a spiky Executioner!

The old intro movie, old font, the old character creator as well as it's bloodline specific attribute system. Lots of other things I can't think of too.


Oh, the old graphics. I like the new ones but I joined around RMR so.. fond memories I suppose. If anyone has any pics, that'd be great! As well as pictures of older UI's such as the escrow system.
