if you couldn't see it with any other hyped MMOs, see it with this one. bunch of money-making garbage, it's not even being made by the real elder scrolls dudes is it?

Edit: actually it just occurred to me that the guy I quoted might be saying that it's the same as the other Elder Scrolls games... if that is the case, definitely NOT THIS. I assumed he meant it was just another clone of all the other big budget / no imagination mmos, and that I agree with.

I saw a short demo of it, it looks like a cheap knock-off of WoW....

It's a wow-knockoff it's already dead. They just don't realize it. Swear these new mmo-companies lack the frontal lobe. Swtor was like WoW 2.0 with 1.0 talents, millions of dollars budget and it fell flat on it's face broke it's nose and now is suffering a f2p concussion. Way to kill another IP.

Who's the more foolish the fool or the fool who replies to him?

well if they are not carefull they whole of bethesda is going down very fast especially now when they announced their second DLC for skyrim hearthfire , again with a 30 day xbox exclusive , all the while when ps3 user don't even have the first DLC yet

this is slowly turning out in a PR disaster for them

I do not agree with what you are saying , but i will defend to the death your right to say it...... Voltaire

I love the elder scrolls series and when I heard there was going to be an elder scrolls MMO I rolled my eyes Roll and groaned. Another cash-in attempt, that will damage an otherwise good single player franchise, if we even get another single player game because ESO sucks up so much resources. I couldn't be less interested in the game and the little I've actually heard about it makes me even more worried. Just another standard MMO with an elder scrolls paintjob, that will be overhyped, sell a ton of initial copies and will flop horribly within a year. Do not want.

Well, if they actually did it right, I would think Elder Scrolls Online would be more like Eve Online with high fantasy. What I mean by doing it right would be essentially having single player as the model and just letting other players play at the same time. There would be some bugs in the mechanics to work out to make it work for an MMO, but I always had thought that would be a great game.

However... This... This is just WoW with elder scrolls lore... it's despicable....

After SWTOR, I think it's simply tacky to predict that it'll go F2P within a year of release. We all know it will. dedrateR business decision is dedrater. X

I agree 100% with everyone that says it is a knock-off.

The game companies see money and that's all they see, for some reason they don't realize that if they make a game that's actually good and original they will make money off of it while possibly making one of the greatest games of all time, or they just don't have the brain capacity or imagination to do such a thing.

These new MMOs, like SWTOR and all that, remind me of when Brock Lesnar came into the UFC. He was WAY over-hyped and relied stupidly on his incredible size, but in the end he got completely dominated by the smaller heavyweights. Stupid donkey :P

And that's what these dumb MMO juggernauts are, nothing but fake, over-hyped fail-a-thons with no actual technique behind all their cash and size. At least WoW had originality.

The game's lead designer started work on it in 2007 with the ZeniMax Online team, at the height of the WoW craze. It doesn't help that Matt Firor is a Dark Age of Camelot veteran and wants to return to his glory days by trying to turn TES Online into something it's not - That's where the whole 3 faction warfare thing came from (why not more factions? Why not sub factions? He wants 3 factions because DAoC did it).

He even said it flatout in an interview: He doesn't want to make a TES game, he wants to make "a game". TESO is already dead to me >_>

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

they can't get it to run on ps3 because of the ram layout. plus the primary console was xbox anyway and MS always signs agreements to get DLC first.
its not like many people got skyrim on ps3 compared to xbox anyways. granted, doesn't change the fact that the mmo looks bad.

Skyrim would be pure awsomeness if they just added tcp/ip support for up to 4 players.

I miss the old tcp/ip supported multiplayer games.
Even the LAN supported games were awsome.

Without internet, you're pretty much dead in the water nowdays.Ugh
