It's gonna blow my mind if Mittani turns out to be Mitt Romney's EVE character and he only went inactive temporarily in his bid to take over the real world and once he's installed as the POTUS he's declare every day world EVE day and all non Goons as useless eaters fit only to be the footstool of the Swarm. Honestly does anyone not from the USA care about US politics, it is kind of like worrying about who is running Uganda ATM.

Well, I dunno about Uganda, but the POTUS is about as important as the leader of the other two city-states of the world, London and Rome. Is true power military, the treasury or religion? That's something that can only really be tested by experimentation ie. practice not theory.

Trust me, the more intelligent (ie knows that we're all idiots, not just in the US) Americans are even more butthurt than you are about it.
