My Programme Files > ccp > eve folder is now close to 13GB. What can I safely delete? For example the eve folder itself is full of .patch and .stuff files. Can these be trashed?

Thanks

You can safely delete the .patch files. The .stuff files are a part of the client, so do not touch those.

Can I get a dev to comment on this fix etc.

Do I need this extra 10+ gigs of junk clogging up my hard drive?

More importantly what check box to I check that say to delete useless crap when its done patching or whatever?

If you start the launcher and click on the crossed tools icon, located at the top of the launcher window, this will open the 'Launcher Settings Window'. In the Patches tab there is an option to 'Delete Patches after use'. Enabling this option will stop the launcher from saving any patch files that are downloaded and hopefully prevent any bloating of the client size.
