Not clear on whether warfare link benefits get passed down through fleet chain

I've read lots of articles on leadership skills (like Siege Warfare, etc) getting passed down the ranks of a fleet IF the leaders of each group have the right skills, etc.

But I'm still hazy on whether the same applies to warfare modules like Siege Warfare Link, etc. So let's do an example.

The FC has perfect leadership skills (EVERY SKILL UNDER THE LEADERSHIP CATEGORY) as does the WC and the SC. Now suppose that the FC is flying a ship with three active siege warfare link modules, the WC if flying a ship with three active information warfare link modules, and the SC is flying a ship with three active skirmish warfare link modules. And in this case we'll see the FC is the fleet booster, the WC is the wing booster, and the SC is the squad booster. Just trying to keep the example simple.

Some lucky guy is a squad member at the bottom of the chain. Will he benefit from the 9 warfare links?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, the highest bonus for any given boost is used. Meaning in your example the FC wouldn't be boosted at all, the WC would get boosts from the FC only, the SC would get boosts from FC and WC, while actual squad members would benefit from every single boost, provided all boosts are in fact different.

There's a work around to getting the boosts for the FC and WC as well, involving the booster role. You simply have the actual wing and squad boosters inside the squad itself rather than handling the command chain and have someone else in the WC and FC positions.

Slightly incorrect, a FC/WC/SC do benefit from their own leadership skills and modules, as long as the fleet hierarchy is properly maintained.

There was/is a bug though when the WCs would sometimes not receive the FC's bonuses and the SCs would sometimes not receive the WC's bonuses. I'm not sure if it was ever fixed.

Yeah this is true - so long as a SC has someone else in the squad in system and undocked, he gets bonuses. Likewise so long as the WC has a proper squad (with a SC and a squaddie) undocked and in system, he gets bonuses. Etc.
