Is EVE in maintenance mode? Lack of tangible progress is somewhat frustrating.

First off, I KNOW it isn't in maintenance mode, but thats how it seems on the surface at times. I've seen over the last few months a bunch of amazing brainstorming ideas from notably, Soundwave and Bayesian. Soundwave's idea of ring mining and pos revamp is frikking amazing and needed to happen a long time ago. Likewise, why did the Incarna devblog get swallowed up?

It seems like the last expansion, a couple before it and apparently (this is me being jaded btw) the next one for winter isn't going to have anything remotely tangible in it.

I dunno, I'm just wondering, because I'm not far from being able to fly every single subcap ingame and fit them however I want.

Stuff I'm wondering about and wanting to see happen in no particular order, just any of it would be nice:

When will PI be something that does something other than serve to give me arthritis?

When will me and my friends be able to own our own bar in a station somewhere of our choosing?

When will I be able to fully separate myself from the need for stations via greyscale's "small holdings" concept?

when will ring mining happen?

when will I be able to consider wanting to deal with starbases again because they're not just a giant alliance/corporation asset to look after and babysit?

In other words, is CCP just taunting us with these ideas, or are they going to happen at some point within the next 2-3 years? Because, right now, its hard sometimes to see CCP's attention span holding out long enough to do any of it.

Id been hoping and planning that the ring mining changes would be this Christmas. The new POS stuff had BETTER come soon as I actually enjoy living out of a POS more than a station and would solely if they do it right without question. So the sooner the better but dont rush it.

Balance the mineral influx properly along with the new barge changes first to make sure all production for T1 and mineral intensive construction, caps and supers, are properly balanced along with the new roles the barges will take in both the new POS infrastructures and their usage in Ring Mining. Slowly is better in this regard cuz this will be a HUGE change to the mechanics of life in New Eden that I will surely welcome after all these years.

But with that all said.... ******* HURRY UP YOU SLOWPOKES!!! I WANTS IT!! I WANTS MY PREEEEECIOUS!!!Twisted

So its not that CCP isn't adding anything, its that CCP isn't adding in the things YOU want which makes it in maintenance mode.

Realize that CCP is slow and has ADD when it comes to ideas. There have been many ideas over the years that where hyped up then never saw light(player shops anyone?), That doesn't mean Eve is in maintenance mode, they are still adding stuff and doing changes. I would think the recent changes to FW and additions to the UI would show otherwise. They've had only what 2 expansions since they switched directions? Give them time, or adderall.

Well, this has been one long lazy August, my guess is that now in september they will start the marketing of whatever stuff they hope to get ready for winter expansion iteration.

Anyway, as for this:

The answer is two to three years if lucky, otherwise it will never happen.

i haven't seen any "expansions" since eve online release.
i bet a single drunk "all rounder" programmer who works 3h a week doing all this cheap new stuff like skins and fonts.
