Planet rings with much more detail

when i warp to a belt near a planet ring, the ring looks like the background of space... not really anything to really look at, and real rings in space, look fantastic and crazy!

i think the rings could use alot of improvement, like brighter colors\ particles\shading etc. and would give lonley miners something to look at :P just a thought

YES! Every time I warp through a planetary ring, I become disappointed by the fact that it's just a flat texture. Hopefully there is some plan to improve their visuals by the time development on ring mining starts.

planetary asteroid rings are fairly thin you know. saturns rings are around 10m to 1km thick.... now bearing in mind how fast u can travel through a 1km gap in almost any ship in eve at sublight speeds... when ur in warp, going through planetary rings will appear to be paper thin. it just is how it is!

Gee does have a point. Remember, when you are warping you are going faster than the speed of light. (given it takes light from the sun to reach earth, a distance of only 1 AU and our ships travel several AU per second)
