"not enough space" when starting eve

After the downtime today, i get the message below. I have freed over 8 GB of space but i still get this message. Anyone else experiencing this ?

Space needed: 503 MB
Space available: 492 MB

Please free up some space and then restart the launcher.

Try going to the "Issues and Walkarounds" section and see if there is a thread for it.

Edit --> I'm assuming you have a dual HD setup (e.g. SSD + magnetic drive)

clean your (primary) HDD. You don't have enough space left on it.

Did you empty the Trash after deleting that 8 gigs of stuff?
If not, try that.
And reboot.

Thank you for the only useful comment in this thread.
Yes i did empty the trash, and the space was really there - proof being the fact that i had enough space to re-download the offline installer.
That solved the problem.
