I've noticed a few issues in long petitions and in petitions started from the game. I wanted to see if CCP can correct a few of the things, and make the layout slightly better. Here are my ideas for the Petition system.

Petitions seem to pull HTML from the game and leave it in raw text view in the web site version of the petition manager. So why not make character names and links work in the web view as well? -a href="showinfo:0000//000000000"-Someone-/a- Should show Someone instead. (URL is a flop, doesn't go anywhere)

Also, since petitions have replies put at the top. Maybe we should move the reply box too? I'll try to make a crappy example for you with images. Here ya go, my horrible example. :P

Dropbox is having issues, links may take longer than usual to start working. < and > replaced with - for the HTML part.

OOooh, ANother thing I forgot. Petition priority buttons. For the people who handle the petitions, they can change it's priority and show the priority to the user as well. 5 levels. Lowest, Low, Normal, High, Highest. The user would be able to select from Lowest to Normal only. Defaulting at normal. While the GMs can set to high or highest if they determine it needs to be higher. So if a user reports an odd bug, or a spelling error/typo in the game, they can set it to lowest cause it's not really that important. Thus it won't bother the GMs as much having to filter the stuff themselves. I know i've had a few low priority things in the past that I didn't know if I should just ignore it or not.

ive always wanted parts of the linking script to work in forums for wxample.. characters, ship DNA's for example. i think it should be something that can be usefull especially for corps that dont have external forums.

ie: corp can have ingame corp MOTD's linking to eve-o forums where they use the their own eve-o corp forums to store information such as contacts and ship fittings that they can one click link to open and fit.

i know fittings can be saved as corp fittings, but many times a fleet can have a couple of different fittings for a single ship dependant of the fleet, and having linkable ship DNA's can show the desired fleet composition better than just a bunch of ship fittings in the fittings window.

Well, this is just for petitions. To make petitions less ugly. Forums is another story though and it may not be helpful to have characters linkable in the forums. There are many people who could abuse that. In petitions where it's private, it can help someone who doesn't load the game or is at work when he gets a response to the petition or even if someone no longer has access to the game and he needs to be able to link names and stuff. So say you're in the web viewer. You can type out the exact name, 100% exact character for character. And use BBC code to link it. If the system doesn't find it it'll just highlight the name in pink with an underscore, if it finds it, it'll link it. Aka [c.link:Vas Vadum]Vas[/c.link] Would link Vas.

Also, added priority to the main message.
