marauder tracktbeam need buff

marauder tractbeam range: 40km
noctis tracktbeam range: 72km

many mission object range over 40km+ (blood rider, sansha mission another fation not see)
marauder tractbeam bonus 100%-> 150~200%.
and 'small' salveger bonus.

I say give the murader the tractor range bonus and not the salvager bonus at all. Leave it to the notics no need to role stomp any further than it already is.

Yeah I fully aggree. Going by naval standards a "Marauder" Should do insane damage with hieghtend tank. Currently, the Marauders are nothing more than carebear wagons. They don't require a buff on tractor beams, they are supposed to be detruction bringers, not a salvage ship. Buy a noctis can carebear it up.

Fully like this idea, personally I am all for Marauders being advanced battleships that are great at destroying things BS's couldn't do as well or fast.

First marauders already got T2 resists and the extra utility of the tractor beams is one of the few things what stops them from being plain worse than faction BS for PVE.

A higher tractor beam range would be welcome, but changing the active tank bonus to resists, making them more useful in pve content where you need remote rep like incursion\wh would be more preferred. Also buff the sensor strength and signature resolution at least to T1 levels, since they make the ships also painful to use in pve(if you have lots of small ships to lock or fight guristas\incursion rats) and the faction BS offer the same, without being overpowered by this.

Agreed, either give the marauders the noctis' tractor range or drop the tractor bonus entirely. In the latter case the marauders should be given either full T2 resists, good sensor strength or perhaps the logistics' bonuses, though not quite to the same extreme. Say 25% range bonus per level on armor, shield or energy transfer with a 5% reduction in cap use per level should do it. Spidertanking marauders :)

They do Have a resist buff, but they dont have T2 resists, if so the Vargur would have like 80% resist to EM, golem 80% to thermal, kronos 80% to kenetic, and palidin 80% explosive resist and so on. and since their main bonus is to active tanking they could still be newted to the ground to keep them fro being over powered.

but I do agree they need a sensor srength buff aswell.

It's already 48km with t2 tractors. It's flat bonus instead of based on Marauder skill, btw, so you always get 100%. Would you rather have 20% per lvl?

Marauder: Shoots ****, loots, and salvages.
Noctis: Loots and salvage, better.

Notice the Marauder can shoot things while the Noctis cannot. Yeah, that is the advantage of flying a Marauder over a Noctis.

Notice the Noctis can simply reach out halfway across normal grid space, loot and salvage. Yeah, that is the advantage of flying a Noctis over a Marauder.

Any questions? No, then its fine. Its like saying the Hulk needs a bigger drone bay to defend itself better (lol against what? Belt rats? Try better tank vs player first) when its primary function is to just suck up rocks, which is what the Noctis does similar by sucking up wrecks.

Nah. Not needed. Also, OP's maths is wrong.

The usefulness of Marauders has not changed by the introduction of the Noctis — the ability to loot/salvage while you nuke stuff is still the same, and you still lose money by going back to salvage in a second ship instead of killing more stuff.
