Hi everyone, it's been a month since i start playing EVE ( my Rookie channel disappeared today ), so far i got a Retriever, a Covetor , a basic fitting Drake and some ISK, good start but I have a question :

i want to pilot a Charon for trading and distribution but i have a problem making ISK because mining raw material and sell it doesn't make the profit i want to afford the Charon ( still can do but take a lots of time ) so i really need some advices what to do now to make more ISK from mining.

p/s: sry for my bad english, this is why im doing solo in EVE since i start playing, most corp require english speaker but im not good except listening and reading :( .

Your English seems fine to me.

Welcome to Eve, by the way.

How much time are you devoting to the game?

What about flyinga Charon seems inviting to you?

How much isk have you made and how much more do you need to make?

What is your native language? There are lots and lots of corps that have people that speak many languages. There are also lots of corps that do not mind the fact that your English is not perfect.

To make money off of mining requires some time and energy. Your standings with the station you refine in, your refinement rate, your ore mined per cycle, etc etc etc all of that goes into making profit.

You have a drake and I assume a hauler. Look at other options. Try courier missions until your drake can handle level 4 missions. Make friends, find a corp, find people to do mining operations with so that you get boosts from Orca's and such things.

Working alone at it will be a very hard and a very long process. You don't have to do it that way unless you enjoy it.

That's definitely a good goal, but the thing is you'll NEED to have something that's making you ISK before jumping to the Charon.

Freighters are great ships, but they're by no means ISK printers ... they just make the effort involved less, so you can print more ISK for the same amount of effort...

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

@Akanamon:

- i don't play much just spent 1 or 2 hours every night in weekdays and maybe 3 or 4 hours at weekend.

- im interest in Charon because the other day when im done mining ready to sell i just saw the other station offer better price than the current station im selling my ore but i can't hauling nearly 800.000 m3 at once so i start looking for a ship with largest cargo hold then i found Charon with great cargo hold and nice looking :)

- im currently have 153 mil ISK . i need lots of ISK so i can afford the Charon and something can go wrong with it.

@ Sugar Kyle:

- im from Viet Nam but i dont see any Vietnamese or Vietnamese's corp while i playing.
- im still in training some skills the Drake need to fit, when im done i can't stop mining and do some missioning.

Shocked you have 800k m3 of ore in your personal hangars and you're only a month old?! I call shenanigans...

If he can fly a Covetor, that ore will add up fast.

under languages is a vietnames chat channel, but i don't know if there are people in.

Edit:
If you need help just send a EVE-Mail.

I could also refine your ore in a Kaalakiota or Mercantile Club station that has 50% base yield

If you find any misspelling or grammar errors, your allowed to keep them.

Hello Kristina Rin,

There are lots of ways to make ISK. What you are doing is a good start and don't stop even if it seems like a low profit right now. I would check out http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Making_ISK as it holds other ways to make is. Another solution is to mine materials a build things out of them like ships or ammo just something simple and from there you can sell at a better rate then just the raw or refined ore.

Take a look at http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Manufacturing if that interests you.

I hope this helped a bit don't hesitate to contact me through In-game mail if you have more questions or post here :)
