Obama is a professional politician who had almost no record when he took office, and hasn't done much to establish himself since. His biggest "achievement" is the medical reforms that conveniently don't really start until after the election...so he can claim victory on the passing without having to face the repercussions of any failures of the plan. He's the epitome of politics for the sake of politics, and I fully expect him to simply pander to his voters and attempt to secure his legacy rather than doing what is best for America.

Romney is a fair-weather conservative looking to appeal to "the base" after years as one of the most liberal Republicans around. He's so obviously playing a part that I don't believe a word he says, and his disconnect with the problems of the poor and middle class make it hard to trust him to consider the not-rich majority in his economic policies.

We're in for four more years of politics as usual, no matter who we choose.

True, also, a GOP president would have made the same decisions as Obama in regards to the bailouts, stimulus, etc..

The real problem is the GOP has decided to be the "party of No!" and shut down the legislative branch. The whole reason for having 400+ congressmen, 100 senators, 9 supreme court justices and a president is to ensure that people compromise when getting things done. Instead the current GOP has this my way or the highway approach to democracy, which isn't working and is going to bite them on the arse in the future.

As for Romney, I actually feel sorry for him. RomneyCare appears to be working in Massachusetts, making it potentially one of his greatest achievements, and he's being forced to disown it by his own party. And yeah, the "some of my best friends own NASCAR teams" was the nail in the coffin for the middle class, IMO.

I'll vote when someone runs on the platform of complete decriminalization of cannabis, and the reappropriation of the military budget towards domestic healthcare and education. Until then I don't see how any intelligent individual can look at all this paint by numbers spin the wheel of issues politiking with a straight face, much less support it, with their more or less symbolic vote.

Sure neither ones a good choice, but one MAY **** us over while the other already has.

"Lesser" is exactly the adjective that applies to both. It pairs well with "mediocre" too.

2) am I the only one who gets annoyed when europeans comment on American politics in an obnoxious, superior and condescending way?!? I'm legit not trying to troll here, but seriously.... What makes you have all the answers about our country, while we are apparently a bunch of bumbling idiots? Last I checked, Europe was just as corrupt, only instead of the government taking 30 percent of your paycheck they take like 70... Fix your own **** before telling us how to fix ours.

Sheesh I needed to say that

I don't know how many EU states even have a true democratic government. Not on mine for sure, we cannot even vote who we want in the parliament, it's just lobbysts and mafia-puppets concerting the next disaster.

I hope Romney wins, USA hasn't had a complete moron at the helm for a few years now.

I don't get it... at least Obama can make complete sentences and articulate what he believes in.

Palin actually is a slobbering idiot who McCain only brought onto the ticket because she's a conservative woman. Other than that, he might as well have picked a door knob since her political views consisted of "I'M CONSERVATIVE AND THAT'S WHAT'S RIGHT FOR MOM'S", and didn't go much further than that other than managing to show her stupidity dozens of times just by opening her mouth....

Romney's far from a moron. He'll be as capable a president as Obama...which isn't saying much.

You've clearly never seen Obama try to talk without his teleprompter.

That said, I'll take verbally clumbsy realist over a teleprompted master orator communist any day.

No doubt. I'm ready to go dig up Abe Lincoln, even dead he could do a damn sight better than either candidate. Added bonus of presiding over a fractured nation, so this wouldn't even be a problem for him.

From a European standpoint, the whole US is in my opinion, nothing more than a 3rd world nation, where the so called 'democracy' is being fed propaganda until your eyes bleed, fake promisses and choosing the lesser of two evils, with no option whatsoever for any realistic change in this.

Lobbyists of large corporations vie for passing laws for themselves, and sue anything that gets in their way to death, while News media say this is all 'ok' because it's for the good of the country and the average citizen, while on the other hand actual basic civil and human rights are being abolished to 'combat the enemy', or simply ignored and swept under the rug.
And anybody lokoing under said rug is labelled a traitor and hounded across the world.

Meanwhile, for well over a decade and a half, all main crises that the world has faced all originated in the US. Mortgage, oil, you name it. Several of them can even be pointed directly at american institutions that litterally abuse every thing they can in the name of greed, steamrolling over anything in their way, putting more money and power in the hands of the rich elite, while tearing up what is left of the middle and lower classes means of support and livelyhood.

Yes.. such a great country is the US.. Just be glad I don't consider violence an option to solve problems.

The United States of America, an experiment in democracy.

Well you stuffed that one up good and proper, at least it can now be known as "The United States of America, a failed experiment in democracy."

Maybe now we don't have to hear about how other countries need to follow their example.

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!
