New Mining Op Payout Spreadsheet.

Hello everybody,

I've recently come across the problem when I mine with my corp that, we have a difficult time paying everybody for their share of the ISK earned. We have tried exporting the loot log and have noticed that it sometimes misses causing our fellow miners to miss out on the ISK they the just spent their time earning. We have also tried to search high and low for some kind of mining op spreadsheet. The ones we did find either didn't work or were to convoluted and complicated to even bother to sit there and figure out how to get it to work (I'm looking at you EVE-UNI). So, sick and tired to looking and trying to find something I decided to go and create my own. Keep in mind we just wanted something we could go in and plug in our respective m^3/laser and #of lasers and at the end put in what we refined and automatically separate payment. The goal was to keep this simple and user friendly, if you want to go into an argument about overlaps and afk with me, don't. I know the math on the overlaps and the afk but honestly short of the loot log you're not going to get anything to really work. If you want to count somebody as afk clock them out and clock them back in on a separate line when the return, see simple. After much effort and checking with the EVE community to see what their thoughts were I thought I would bring it to the forums for some more exposure.

Anyways here is the link: Mining Op Spreadsheet
I would appreciate some feedback and possible ideas on improvement for this sheet. I only ask that if you have an idea, that you format your response as, [Box Location] ...

Thanks in advance.

I'd set the spreadsheet read-only because... well... see for yourself...

You have a serious ant invasion around your mouth...just thought I'd point that out.

*ahem* I'm still amazed people take the game that seriously. I bet most people don't even put that kind of work into their real jobs.

Let's look at some "real" jobs:

- professional football (soccer) player , 100 years ago it was just a game for young boys.
- model , walking up and down a catwalk with funny hats and posing for pictures.
- hairdresser , because other people's vanity makes for a good living ...
- webdesigner , roughly 20 years ago it was a hobby
- professional e-sports , yeah ...

People who love and enjoy what they are doing will take it seriously. What's wrong with that ?

Don't anger the forum gods.

I would love to do this method but like i stated originally I've heard, and seen the Fleet Log miss loots sometimes just wanted something I knew i could trust. Math hasn't let me down yet.

I think this deserves a thumbs up for good effort. Also this thread probably belongs to the industry channel. I've been refining the payout method using fleet loot logs and the Tetragrammaton web site. Anyone know how that works? Wiuld be very interested to know the computation methods. Trief to contact the author but no reply yet.

Interesting...

I am a little confused on the time display...

For example, say I worked from
11:11:11
to
11:11:12
I am "credited" for 00:00:24 minutes.... Huh?

and, We "skim" a % off the top for Corp overhead... do you let the corp taxes cover this, or is there a way to add corp cut?

for anyone who doesn't want to go through all the trouble, thre is a simple method. mine by assigned ore type. fill cans to preset level (say 10k m3) before they are collected; collector doesn't empty before 10k m3; when he empties one he says in your mining chat "1 for [name]". at the end, open chat log and tally

There would be a way to add a section for the corp overhead for those that do take a cut off the top it would basically work the same way as the Orca support section.

You expect a mature crowd from a game that advertises to the lowest common denominator of the MMO customer base.
