Mass blocking

Currently when you select multiple or all people in the local chat window and right quick, you get several options which include the following:

show info
add corporation contact
capture portrait
form fleet with


well its a simple add on, the block option should be added. there isnt really any in depth explanation why this should be added , but simply its just to block multiple trolls at once rather than going to names one by one and doing so. this option benefits everyone in the end, block the jita spammers, block the null sec blob trolling and spamming in local, etc

Supporting the idea of watching EVE stand still while the client blocks 10,000 people simultaneously.

Banning all of JIta local would be nice. You'd instantly have 90% of the jackholes in the game Ingored.

It would also kill the server.

Wouldn't be a problem in small locals, but in a loaded system, say hello to server crash.

For that reason, it is a bad idea. Otherwise it would just be something I couldn't care less about.

your statement assume everyone, at once is going to mass block everyone.

and if youre going to call an idea bad, post one so people can critcize as well. otherwise shut up

I wish there was the ability to block Forum Trolls who constantly troll the website saying and idea is bad because they know CCP wouldn't like it.

not so much annoying, but its old. and this isnt about your alliance its a simple suggestion that is designed to benefit anyone regardless of standings.

Actually, if I'm not mistaken there isn't a possibility of this causing a server crash at all. Not even remotely.

The Block list is effectively contained within the character node, (afaik), which is independent of the system node, which means that any blocking would occur within that node. That may cause a little client-side lag for the person blocking, but shouldn't affect anything else.
