Can any frigate kill an AC thrasher?

Some much for the "frigate killer" niech that destroyers are suppose to fulfill. CCP should have given the destroyers the Stealth Bomber role instead of introducing the Stealth Bomber frig or some other specialist activity like light sniper that actually do decent DPS at range or a recon of some type.

I've killed many thrashers in a Rifter.

Basically to answer your question.....

Any frig that can fit, AB, Scram and Tracking disrupter.. 4th mid + web or second TD.
Armour buffer required.


You'll struggle against ab thrashers but hey there's no instant win to any situation in eve and the AB fit isn't overly popular.

Orbit at 8k to increase your orbit velocity and the effectiveness of the TD.
Beware the better pilots but as a rule of thumb there ya go.

Yes yes, but the real reason you won't got get them is because even if there actually were a single Thrasher KM in your board anywhere at all that was impressive, it would take forever to find it because you'd have to sift through all your other kills, which are basically made up of solo noob kills and Amamake ganks :)

The winter Kestrel will be able to fire rockets from long-point range with just two velocity rigs. With four mids and an enormous speed advantage, I'm sure you can fill in the blanks :-)

The two standard (generalised) Thrasher fits:

1) AC Thrashers
2) Artillery Thrashers

Kite AC Thrashers, their projection is terrible. Either:

Kite in scrambler range, at which point you'll probably need to be an AF (better tank, can just outgank them at this range) or have a Tracking Disruptor w/ Optimal Range Disruption script.
Or kite outside 13km, ala Slicer, Executioner (I guess, haven't flown the "new" frigates much since they're not great at fighting gangs on gates solo/small gang).

Against Artillery Thrasher, tuck under it's guns and just brawl it down. Most AFs will be able to do this assuming you start at 0 or can get there quickly. Interceptors or their T1 variant can get under their guns with a TD at this point, just overheat your Afterburner.

Armour tanked Thrashers will have a web which makes the two methods above more dangerous, but Shield ones are pretty ez-mode.
