Explain to me how that caracal I killed isn't a bad fit?

Give it to the best pvper in the game, he can only kill something afk with it, something thats AFK for a long time... and only if it doesn't have a decent shield recharge speed either.

Or how about this?

Touché. No fit is indeed a bad fit. I stand corrected.

A dude in my previous corp takes the cake. He bought a Navy Domi (with PLEX isk...) for level 4 missions, and he didn't even have Drones V yet. His fit was hilarious, DCI, mixed guns, etc etc. As you can imagine he lost it pretty fast.

Then he went ahead and blamed the ship and bought a Navy Mega which he also lost.

I wish I was making this up.

... huh? Looks pretty reasonable to me. Quite a cheap fit, the better to lose them to learn the game, and he has plenty of open slots to serve as heat sinks for the laser, and small lasers track frigates just fine. And he has more tank with less isk investment even considering the hull than some expensively fitted-out frigates. And although that's a shield ship, it still has quite a bit of armor, so I imagine he uses a hg slave set to plug his EM hole. So that's quite elegantly designed.

The lack of a point or a prop mod are negatives, yes, but that could just mean that this guy isn't a solo player - you don't need a prop mod warp directly to a fleetmate, nor a point in this case - obviously the victim would already have a point on him. And the victim, seeing a Caracal and also perhaps a weak frig that's the only thing pointing him, will struggle to kill the 'easier' frig -- more the fool him! Meanwhile the Caracal's putting a laser right up his tailpipe! Oh, also this guy could get his kicks from chasing people off, rather than hunting them down. Either way, this is a fit designed to catch the enemy off-guard, to make him doubt himself, to lead him to error.

So I still don't see the problem. Is it that he's loading Radio S? Look, Scorch is expensive, and T2 lasers are expensive. But also, the Caracal doesn't have energy weapon tracking bonuses, and this elegant fit doesn't have room for modules like a web or a target painter. The higher-tracking (and also longer-ranged!) Radio crystal allows him to have better damage application to small targets, and allows him to save not just on crystals but on these extra mods that Scorch would demand.

All in all-- oh! LOL.

LOL. OH MY GOD. I just saw it.

He didn't load the crystal into his laser! HA HA HA HA HA.

OK, Pro-tip for all you noobs, rookies, nubcakes out there: you can't shoot a laser without a crystal. Not unless it's a civilian gatling laser.

What a maroon. I can understand forgetting to load the laser initially, but didn't he notice that the pretty lights weren't shooting from his ship? Lasers, man, they look like lasers. Maybe he was zoomed out, lost in a strategic view of the battlefield, but this is a case where having your head in the clouds just means that you get wet!

lets see a fitting mod, 1 rig, anti Ecm while roaming solo and the sebo and shield buffered ... oh I see what you did there.

a fair point on the rig.. and i didn't realize he was solo. that makes a diff

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.
