Kick-Out Stations

I have noticed over time that different stations have different docking radii. Occasionally players will refer to some stations as "kick-outs" because once you undock, you can't immediately redock (if, for example, a gang is camping the station). I am trying to arrange for the demise of some ships by creating courier contracts in lowsec kick-out stations, and simply camping them until they undock, but my question is:

Which stations are the "best" kick-outs? (Which stations have the worst re-docking range?)

There is one good minmatar design http://evepics.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/epdedtest.png
I also think this is kickout http://games.chruker.dk/eve_online/graphics/ids/256/1138.jpg

Also search ingame, check info and preview the only station in Murethand, I lost my first carrier there :(

Anyways just imagine 1 big bubble encasing the entire station, the undock must reach the edge of it. This is why so many oddly shaped gallente stations have huuuge undocks.

The Minmatar Service Outpost has a really short docking range.

honestly I think all stations should have their docking radius adjusted... sure it's fine that Jita has a huge radius rest of eve should be changed to match the stations geomatri (at least around the undock)

also, more stations should have their total size increased ingame

But for the undock radius... I would say that from point of undock, to when your outside docking range, should only be about 5-7km max, (some stations it's like 30-40km right now)

EDIT: Even kickout stations as they are now, if you click CTRL+space while you undock right away, your ship will stop before your outside docking range, (depending on your size and agility)

But if you do that, you're loosing your invulnerability 'right away' and expose yourself to incoming fire even before being able to control your ship.

Well.. I guess it's better to do that than to die trying to redock out of range anyway.

I think we can all agree that the stations require a complete overhaul, but i really hope that if/when CCP does, they change the docking/undocking mechanic so that ships don't just spawn in space or disappear from space but fly into and out of the station instead :P

Stopping your ship doesn't actually remove invulnerability, unless they changed it recently.

Stopping your ship is that one thing that doesn't break the invulnerability. Anything else does.

They didn´t. Just stopping your ship (and only this) lets you retain your undocking invulnerability.

Yeah, but the problem with kick out stations is, that the momentum can bring you out off docking range well before your ship has stopped and/or the secion change timer has expired, at least when you fly a big ship, e.g. a freighter.

The Caldari doom fortress (type 5 station hub) is pretty close. The overhang and height creates a tiny amount of buffer on the docking bubble, but you have to be quick to stop not to drift out of range and if your ship is lumbering enough, it's close to impossible.

True, the Minmatar Pator Tech School is one of those kick-out stations; see post #2, first link for a picture.

No, we can't.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

1. Undock in a noobship / frigate first, in order to take a peek.

2. Question marks.

3. Net gains.

I am trying to limit myself to lowsec and 0.0, as everyone can access those stations. No point in camping an outpost if the only people who can dock there are blue, right? =p
