Don't really know if this is the right place but screw it.

Currently I am living in the Drone Regions and make my living as a ratter. As of now I use this fit with a slight modification:

http://eve.battleclinic.com/loadout/27770-Perfect-Starter-Lv4-Mission-raven.html

I can run level 9 anoms but those give **** bounties out here and I would like to get into level 10s, which are the Drone Hordes said anoms generate decent cash for a simple carebear such as myself.

I have the cash for a nice semi-deadspace fitting for all of these ships basically, I just am not entirely sure which one I want to go for. Help/Suggestions/Criticism of the sort is welcomed. (8m sp char, btw)

I say nightmare because it will make use of the shield skills you (should) already have. It also uses lasers, which are the best weapon type to shoot drones. Also its probably the best rat-killing battleship in the game. Machariel may be about the same, or slightly worse due to falloff and range. Depends who you ask.

However if you absolutely MUST have Caldari, I'd suggest either the Drake or Raven of some variety. Tengu is a possibility, but it will be losing a large chunk of its damage by not firing kinetic (or you'll be shooting at higher resists if you fire scourge anyway)

At some point in the past, you probably looked at the Scorpion NI and set it aside. Give it a relook for anoms/ratting. It has more staying power than a CNR and much cheaper than a Tengu.

I admit I did overlook the SNI previously. Do you have any experience with it, or whether or not it can tank lvl 10 anoms?

Presently I fly the raven, with that fit above, I've been flying it for some time now and simply want to upgrade a bit to something that will last a while. The Nightmare is too much of a risk right now for me. Regardless your input is well recieved.

This. SNI is a great ship for this use.

I overlooked it to until some corp newbie asked why I didn't like the scorp...and it got me thinking. For lvl 4's not optimal but maybe anoms....hmmmm....so checked it out.

It can tank Havens....barely but it can. Never tried with the higher one (sanctums?). With the CNR I had to usually bug out at least once.

I've ratted in drone space just before the changes and for a little while afterwards. Sanctums are much, much more difficult to tank than havens in drone space. A tengu could do it but havens and forlorn hub equivalents for drone space are the best isk per youre going to get. Honestly I tell my new recruits that sanctums are for getting 10/10 escalations. And honestly, drones are probably the second hardest pve enemy second only to bloods. Anyways go for a tengu and you'll be good no matter what sites you do. I hope this helped. Mail me if you have any questions.

Thank you all for the advice and the input, in the end I found a good CNS fit and bought it for a nice price that I can replace need be.
