EVE banks. Do they still exist?

Back in the day there were a few high profile banks in EVE, offering loans, investment etc.
After the EBank 'issues' with Ricdic a few years ago (even though it wasn't anywhere near the biggest bank heist) the banking sector seems to have disappeared.

Do banks in EVE still exist, nothing much comes up on a google search? Has anything changed within EVE that would make banks more viable and less risky nowadays?

It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

EVE banks still exist. And yes, they're still scams.

The issue with EVE Banks isn't actually the scamming, it's that the "investment" concept is impossible to actually implement.

A real bank works by giving you a percent based on the percent of income that they make off of giving money out to other people.

Any EVE Bank who seriously wants to pursue investments is going to very likely get scammed themselves in the long run, because there is no recourse to force a client to pay back on his interest.

Hence, any EVE Bank is most likely a scam because they have no way to guarantee revenue.

The age of EVE IPOs is gone because there is enough ISK floating around now adays, you really don't need appeal to a mass quantity of people to generate ISK. (And most turn into scams even if they weren't intended to be).

nae not quite right... you can still invest in BPOs and pump out BPCs pretty much risk free but granted, the yield is low these days.

And yes you can do recourse debt as a bank in Eve. You just ask for overcollateralization just like most real banks do for overnight lending. Problem is most Eve players run away when you ask for collateral :)
