Sentry guns Range

I recently came back from a long break from eve and the sentrys used to not attack if you were more then 150 km from the object they protect.I aggroed a target from about off the gate and the gate guns aggressed me did CCP changes the ranges?

Lets say you are in a 0.4 system with 5 gates.
You attack someone on gate A.
Then those sentry guns will start shooting you.
However the sentry guns at gate B,C,D,E will also start shooting you, there ammo will go into sort of warp and hit you at gate A.
And if you think warping away will save you, then no sir!
Even in warp the sentry guns will be able to hit you.
And once you do survive the 60 second timer, and can dock up.
The sentry guns are able to rip right through the station into your hangar and hot your ship.
Wich is pretty cool actually, since now in captains quarters, you can stand next to your ship and see the impacts Cool
Anyway, i am glad i could enlighten you here and hope you can use it to your advantage.

I used this recently to charge down and kill a neutral stealth bomber idling 200km off a gate in a Navy Slicer. Can confirm it is still the case.

Don't, however, forget that you are orbiting at 5kms then get unlucky and have the target explode while you're in the wrong half of the orbit sending you flying back towards the guns while GCC'd.

Confirmed. The only way to escape gateguns is VIA wormhole, but be careful. If you stay in the wormhole for longer than 45 seconds Concord can scan your wormhole down and pop goes your ship.

sentry gun range is still 150km from the protected object, if u go within that range like lets say 149km then they will start shooting you, i know this for a fact since i snipe at gates every day :)
