War dec griefing!

I am here to ask what everyone thinks about corps who war dec a mining/indy corp/alliance to stop them from doing their normal activities like mining, misisoning, ratting ect. and also so they can get a few easy kills in between. Also for allot of new players it can be somewhat scary for them as they will just sit in the station all day because they are too scared to undock incase they get blown up. Not only new players are affected, people who have just skilled in the indy side of things won't exactly be up for undocking to get blown up either cause they may not have the skills to fight back or just not have experience to fight the attackers. This is not a fun way to play the game.

Now I know it's not just us it is happening to, it is happening to many many other corps/alliances and to be honest it is really really annoying allot of us.

I know there may be allot of people against me on this but this has to stop, it has gone too far now. This ontop of hulkageddon is making miners angry and frustrated. Personally for me the game is no longer fun, I know many people who feels the same way and it is all because of these idiots who think it is fun to grief us and other miners alike.

Now what is your opinion and what can we do about it?

I should probably state this is based on a personal problem but not all the scenarios apply to us, like the sitting docked up, we are fully willing to stand up for ourselfs. What I am trying to say is we shouldn't be forced to PvP, we enjoy doing other things but can't do it if we are war deced.

PS. dropping out of corp/alliance is out of question.

EDIT: We are not looking for help we are doing fine, this is meant for discussion on the matter for other people to see and maybe get some advice.

EDIT: This is a thread to help others if something similar happens to them, there's no need to ***** at me about it.

economic warfare is a viable tactic... EvE is working as intended. learn to fight them off.. or hire mercs to do it for you.

Don't you now have the option to bring allies into a war if you are incapable or refuse to do anything about it yourself?

Post with your monkey.

First:
a lot

Second:
Mining and Industrial play needs risk to be at all a worthwhile endeavor. This is a game, not a job. Think of the easy PVE content as a spoil of war for those willing to fight for the privledge.

What's an “allot”?

Other than that, working as intended. There are a number of mechanics and strategies in place to deal with it. If you don't want to deal with wardecs, then don't have a corp.

It's almost working as intended. (wars are still not right and need a total overhaul)

Hire mercs.

Edit: Oh and it's not griefing. Blink

Stay in NPC corps, create a private channel for your corpies to talk in. Indy guys probably won't notice 11% tax anyways...

Hows my posting? Call 1-800-747-7633 to leave feedback.

Non-consensual PvP is the essence of EVE. deal with it, or I will find you, and slaughter your corpmates,,,in my rookie ship because thats all I fly ofc.

Well sense it is happening to allot of you then ban together and help each other out.
That is the whole reason behind the new system, to be able to call in help.
And it doesn't have to be merc's

I suggest you do so.

This.

The fighting back part works surprisingly well at times. Don't fight in anything pricey though. Encourage your corp mates to team up and get into cheap and expendable t1 frigates. They're even better now with the recent buffs. So basically even if you die in a fire the only thing you're really in danger of is actually having fun.

Grow a pair or hire mercs. The ally system was built for players like you.

I see what you did there.

My opinion on it? It's perfectly acceptable, we don't need to do anything about it.

In fact, I'd go as far as to say anyone who suggests we have to do anything about it doesn't understand the effing game and should stick to hello kitty online. EVE is PVP. Deal with it. As long as those mission runners and miners are capable of influencing the economy (which they do to huge effect, currently) then they are fair game, since their actions affect a lot of other players.

A corporation/alliance is a wonderful social tool. This game however, unlike others, imposes certain disadvantages when making use of its social organisation mechanics.

One of those is war declarations.

Live with it, or drop corp. End.

Please tell me this is a poor attempt at trolling.

If not, well, may your god have mercy on you, because Eve pilots won't.
