doesn't matter, the modules don't show you what % complete they are, you have to do it by eye, you will never be 100% accurate.

I'm sorry to point out, people not ready for the patch, are just plain bad players.

Having some sort of preparation (read up on what the patch is to bring to the game) and you will be tear free.

Yes there is a percentage of the population that do not like change, these people should be playing the original PONG game from 1972 (I hear its real hard to master).

I was prepared, the patch is good, mining is easy, no tears.

If you're atk watching cycles, instead of tanking avoid ganks via active methods.

I like the new changes. Now mining to raise money for my RvB alt won't be such a pain in the ass \o/

if you're afk and not mining ice then you have a screw loose. ice roids simply don't pop, and 35k ore bay... if you're afk mining ore then i don't know what to say to people...

Soon Rifters will be the only affordable ship!!!

EDIT: The end is coming!

Odyssey: Repacking in POS hangars for modules +1,  but please for other stuff too, especially containers. Make containers openable in POS hangars.

Then avoid ganks via active methods instead of expecting to just weather any profitable gank. (still fit the stiffest tank you can with MLUs, ofc).

The hulk is meant to have the highest yield while hauling the LEAST. It is meant to only be used with orca and hauling support.

Dear god.. there has been like.. THREE dev blogs on this subject. You would have to be pretty dedicated to maintaining your ignorance to miss them.

0/10 for not detecting the sarcasm.

If that was meant sarcastically, you need to work on your writing skills. Generally sarcasm doesn't work unless it is obvious to the other party. It also doesn't come across very well on the internet. You will notice that when Jon Stewart makes a sarcastic joke, the audience isn't left wondering if it was sarcastic or not.

0/10 - for writing style. Needs remedial attention.

Well sarcasm doesn't work at all on the trully dense, as you have demonstrated.

thanks but i am not a moron, it is only marginally better than the mackinaw. and make note they took the hulks defenses, and its cargo but gave nothing back. and i am not asking for UBER mining bonuses, just make it the MOST efficient like they claim. the point i am trying to make is that the hulk got absolutely 0 bonuses in this patch. oh wait it got a whole 1% bonus to ice harvesting, big deal. but better mining bonuses on the hulk would be better. as i state before, not to make it OP, but make it REALLY stand out as a fleet miner.

this patch could have gone better if it were more of a give/take patch, but over all for the hulk it was only a TAKE patch. also remember this patch was supposed to make mining more efficient as a whole, but the only ships that got MORE efficient were the lower tier ships, the hulk is exactly the same. better mining bonuses is not too much to ask.

/slams his head into his desk

YOU! YOU are whats wrong with miners! You want the best of everything! Can't stand that your precious little Hulk is no longer the King of Mining! Can't accept its a fleet miner now, you think CCP screwed up because what they REALLY meant to do was buff these other ships while making the Hulk still be a ******* God!

Personally I like the changes. Now instead of watching the same hull hour after hour, day after day etc I now switch between Mack and Hulk depending on if I solo or in a fleet.
It also makes me buy more ships with different rigs depending on what I am mining as it should be.

The OP does seem correct. There is a ton of crying in the newbie npc corps. Despite the mackinaw giving much better actual yield for solo players they still want their hulks to be everything.

I was complaining about having a hulk for 3 weeks and then having to get a Mackinaw (274M Isk) to solo mine, but the Mackinaw now is sufficiently better than my hulk before that I'm not complaining anymore.

There still isn't enough CPU to make a good tank, but I can live with this.

My dear fellow, do you not realize that you are breaking one of the great unwritten rules of Eve, 'that all miners whinge'?

That there is little evidence of this compared to any other group/playstyle is immaterial.

Just about all societies, (if I may class Eve Online as one) need 'outsiders' so that they, (in this case, elite pvpers) can have a group to look down upon, which helps promote (normalize) their group/playstyle, social bonding and ingame sense of worth.

If it was not the miners, it would be some other group/playstyle.

I'm not sure what channel you were in, but yes. There were people who were in the dark, and genuinely had not the slightest clue what was going on. They were helped and told what had happened.

THEN. There were the Hulk miners who were completely against the idea of having to change ships. I talked to people who seemed to think they were "too good" (one guy actually said it wasn't worth his time to downgrae to solo mine) to switch to the Macki to solo mine. There were people crying about not getting any bonus from the cargohold rigs and saying that CCP had "broken" them and should refund every cargo rig purchased and installed on a mining barge.

Hell, there were people who wanted CCP to give them a new mining barge because the Hulk was "completely useless and nerfed into hell".

That is the crying I'm talking about my friend.

I retired both my hulks last night to await corp mining ops. Set up my Mack for ore mining....which was pretty cool with such ore capacity (35k)....and a 17k ehp tank to boot (thats with 2 mlu's). I also set up my skiff to mine ice....huge tank, and 15k ore capacity. Very pleased with these changes, personally.

Where are you buying them at? I bought one the day before the patch at a little over 10 mill and now they are selling for over 20 mill. And the Procurer went from 6 mill to 16 mill. Still cheap but how often do you get to see a price jump like this?

I was all excited to finally get my retriever bc of the 2000 cargo bay but to find that is has a 25,000 m3 cargo hold just for the ore. That and they threw in more defense really made my day. I am laughing at the hulk owners. All that training and they got shafted..

Looks like I picked a good time to start playing again. So no miner tears from me.

Apparently, making anything besides the Hulk a viable miner is like punching a baby repeatedly.

You would think that making the covetor a more viable option would make them happy, since they are a fraction of the cost of a hulk..

It takes a **** ton of mining in high sec to get you ISK back out of a hulk.

You just have better tank and bay... you have far far far far far less yield.

even to a miner where income is roughly **** poor levels, 20m is still pocket change, it's an hours work maybe more for a solo miner. also the price jumped because the demand jumped and the price won't come down again because the mineral costs have changed[gone up].

hulk owners didn't get shafted at all, they're mining about 15% more than you at max skills if you do the math from the dev blog. if you think they're wasting 15% of their time hauling you're deluded.

mining scordite in my perfect skill max yield hulk with 10% fleet bonus and 3% implant nets me just shy of 22m per hour mining veld, a touch more if i mine scodite, and a touch more again if i cherry pick the 5% and 10% variants.

once again; rets are pocket change.
