Is it normal for my heart beating to raise when in pvp?

I used to get shaky during eve pvp.

Now I drink. Heavily.

200 kills later, I still get an adrenaline rush sometimes. Mostly when I'm going solo engaging a ship that I know has the capacity to kill me. When I'm killing a guy running missions in a drake or some other sloppy war target, I'm quite calm.

I jumped a guy in a wormhole the other day and lost my Pilgrim to his PVE Tengu. We both had a serious case of the shakes afterward; it was a close fight and came down to the fact that the sleeper BS on grid wouldn't switch targets off me.

After a while you stop getting that rush, shame really

For me when I just get up off my chair and walk across the room it makes my heart beat like a scared jackrabbit. it's ok though, it happens all the time. Cool

Join RvB for a bit, the shakes will disappear after a few weeks / few hundreds kills ;)

Wait till you survive a fight with less than 25% structure.

That really gets the adrenaline going.

Nothing better than coming out of a fight on fire :)

I don't get this. We all know that we respawn at station if we die. Would be better if character actually dies instead of WoW like respawn.

True, need some harsher consequences for dying. How about an electric shock through your mouse if you get podded? Like lab rats, we might learn to jump quicker. Smile
