Any particular reason that when entering a POS password, each character goes in as an asterisk, like it is added protection? Who the hell is watching my monitor? I get paranoid that I might miss key and accidentally bounce into the death zone of the damn guns.

So the Feature and Idea: Make is to the actual characters show when entering the password instead of asterisks.

because it's a 'password' field, and they all work that way.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

Just because "they all work that way" doesn't mean it makes sense. Anyway, you can label an entry for "passwords" and not use asterisks.

The same reason it does that when you login to EVE.

If you're gonna post here thinking your idea is the greatest thing since bacon and that it will save EVE and possibly all humankind with it, you're gonna have a bad time.

Okay, I understand what a password field is. What I'm saying is, why does the POS password field NEED to actually be a password field? It is not making the damn POS more secure and it's making it more likely for password mistakes when landing on said POS.

The POS password field NEEDS to be a password field because you put a password in it.

I can see what you mean about it making mistakes more likely though, so maybe it should be that they add a checkbox next to the field that gives the option to show what you're typing.
