40+k players on a weekday

Actually, that is 40k+ accounts logged in. With multiple account holders and people who log in and go afk, that could easily be less than 10k actual people playing eve.

Average player:account is 1:1.2. (least that's what I've seen others say)

So, closer to 30k players.

Old number, we do not know the current ratio. Also that number includes all of eve history, including people who get an account, play for a few months, then unsub. What we need is the ratio for current active subs, and we do not have it.

My 18,000 alts are regularly AFK cloaked in Nullbear space.

I was active on about 437 of them, the rest we're all AFK mining and doing couriers, or sitting cloaked in random places.

Same here in the U.S. Really varies by person, I suspect. I don't log in much on the weekend, at least during the summer.

Sorry but what in the name of Divinities Edge makes you think that CCP would want to rig there number count? Thats like saying we're going to invade Jita in a swarm fleet of LOLTRACKTORS and attempt to kill the station by ramming it.
