"Depth" to crosshair lines please

Here's a small request. Can we change the crosshair lines (the ones that span the entire screen and can be disabled in the general options menu) to behave 3-dimensionally and with depth? For clarification, this pertains to the crosshair lines, not the targetting reticles themselves.

For example, when ownship is between the camera and the locked-target, the crosshair lines will run behind ownship. When the *locked-target* is betwwen the camera and ownship the target crosshair lines will run infront of ownship.

This would provide a bit of depth and 3-dimensionality to the targetting interface IMHO.

Also. Can we have a small area at the edge of the screen directing us to the currently selected target? Sometimes it hard to locate them even with crosshairs on.
