Faith in CCP? You must be playing for less than 2 years.

So CCP meta-ganked miners.

This is a surprise because?

Profit favors the prepared

FYI, 30k tank = at least 3 t2 tornados, something that never happens.

Thanks for the orientation Baltec! This is the main reason I wanted real numbers. So we could look at the situation realistically.

There is the one guy who said his Mack (I think) was only at 15K EHP. I think he must have tried to squeeze out some yield and sacrificed tank. The builds I tested in SiSi were as much tank as CPU and cap allowed for.

The Mack actually blows for yield due to CPU constraints = limited MLU's. In fact, one MLU wipes out a significant qty of EHP due again to CPU constraints, not the loss of a low slot.

So like I said, let's wait and see how the "new new" Mack holds up. I seem to be a gank magnet, so I'll post survivability results once someone makes a gank attempt. But they will face our fleet with a Perfect Orca pilot + Shield Harmonizer II + spider tanking. Somehow I have a feeling the gank teams will be looking for Hulks ... fleeted or not, Hulks are gonna go down ...

See you guys in the belts on Wednesday !!!

Heh. So it sounds like the balancing threw choices back at the miners...

And they took the yield.

If the 30k number is correct then only the Skiff/Proc got any real buff as the Mack just got a portion of the hulks old role with the same tank.

Isn't mack for the big ore hold, while skiff is for tank?

That makes sense then.

2/10 huh.

Does it really deserve such a low score?

Actually, I was feeling generous only on account of all the responses:

No style, less originality, too overtly whiny.

I took a look at it again.

Yeah, you were right on. My bad.

They look fine to me.

Only issue I have is with dumb miners making life harder on the rest of us, but CCP can't patch stupid.

If I recall correctly, when the change was first announced the Mach was supposed to have more tank than the hulk as the hulk was supposed to have the support of a fleet for protection. Not saying it's necessary considering the Skiff, but if the Hulk/Mack tanks are the same then the original statements were deviated from and you fundamentally have the "fleet protection" tank on the "solo" hull.

Anyone else getting weird EHP fluctuations on TQ? Mine keeps going up or down about 10k at random.

Stop flying mining ships and you'll never lose one.

I find this advice to be 100% reliable

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

I personally thought it was a 1/10, but you managed to get enough replies that it became clear that my initial verdict was incorrect.

bah.. easily overcome. cpu rigs, or implant. or just good fitting skills. my mining alt is training Exhumers V and Mining Upgrades V .. i won't let any fit she flies go below 35k roughly.

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

Figures. Even when they get a near dedicated patch, miners still aren't happy.
