Module Naming Issues

So I know CCP has been working on changing/updating and otherwise 'improving' module names. But from what I can tell it is just getting worse and more jumbled.

Please tell me which of these modules are which?

All of the modules in the screenshot above are unique, and because of the amazingly helpful naming you can't tell which is which until you mouse over them each and wait for the info popup.

Another issue I have been seeing is plain inconsistencies in the way modules are named, some where you have a short sentence of unique identifiers for each module:

Target painters for one example

Launchers are another

With the various modules another thing I noticed is all of the various types of armor hardeners (active and passive) have "Armor" in their name, whereas none of the shield hardeners do. This is probably one thing that is definitely excessive and could help clear some confusion with some of these lengthy names.

Throughout the whole gambit of modules you come across groups of modules that are named inconsistently even inside their own grouping:

Shield hardeners and medium projectile turrets

With the shield hardeners, what makes the 'Limited' EM hardener more special than the rest to the point it is designated as 'Anointed'? The medium projectile turrets are another good one... half the modules don't feel the need to identify themselves as medium turrets (perhaps the gun caliber and the fact they have a large "M" on their icon are enough), but others have to put "Medium" into the gun's name, thereby removing helpful name information from the GUI when the module is viewed in Items Hangar.

I'm not even going to get started on the updated naming scheme for implants... those are like 2 sentences each and I'd rather not touch them with a 10' pole.

Is there anything on the boards to bring everything into a more consistent and meaningful syntax or something?

Also take a look at implants in the market. Some of the names are so long that they don't fit into the window (no the window can't be stretched further either).

Whoa now, you simply cannot change the target painter naming convention, which btw is epic.

If your attention hadn't yet been drawn ot the fact... here we go...

Parallel Weapon Navigation Transmitter
Partial Weapon Navigation
Peripheral Weapon Navigation Diameter
Phased Weapon Navigation Array Generation Extron

PWNT
PWN
PWND
PWNAGE

Yeah, they did that. AND U NO TOUCHY!

So I guess this just means that we can expect these awful naming conventions to get worse as they "improve" things?

Really like the sheer amount of dev feedback for things like this... was it intended to be confusing or just wanting to make it complicated and overly excessively descriptive?

I want my Thor torpedo back Evil

Also, nobody asked for missiles to be renamed. Another completely unnecessary change.

(i know it's been a while since it was changed but i can't stop thinking about the cool old names everytime i look on a missile and see the same name for different tiers)
