Recent Speakers Chat Channel Setting

How does one set this on created channels? i cant seem to switch to it or tell the game to make it the channel default setting, either. only settings are Immediate mode or Delayed mode... i see the option in the chat window, but it doesnt allow me to click on it, nor is it in the channel settings.

The reason you could not find the "Recent Speakers Chat Channel Setting", is because there's no such mode for channels.

What I believe you are looking for, is the "Delayed" mode.
It allows a higher number of members in channel, but will only show people on members list, who has recently said something in channel.

I hope this clears that up

That one is in the ESC menu in the middle column of Audio and Chat settings tab (if not then the general setting tab).

If you check the upper right hand corner of a chat channel (such as chat.euni, BTL Pub, The Valhalla Project), youll notice its set to recent speakers. its in the middle of the red X and the OTHER OPTION, which is immediate or delayed mode. so its different. its selected in a lot of channels but i cant seem to select it in my channels.

I apologize for being unclear in my previous answer

You need to set channel to "delayed" mode, in order to allow members to select "Recent Speakers" option in the channel.
I tested it to make sure, and I realized that the menu options will not properly update until you rejoin channel, which might be the reason why you thought it wasn't working before.

What you need to do, is briefly leave channel, and rejoin it after you've set it to delayed mode, and you should see the option.

thank you. that worked. just had to log off or leave channel after doing the delayed mode change.
