Gate gun changes - Good for gate camps. Bad for fights.

I have spent the vast majority of my EVE career in lowsec as a -10.00 and here's how all our gatecamps went down:

- Fleet sits 200,000km off gate, aligned.
- Cloaky neutral alt sits on other side of gate hammering scan.
- Cloaky picks up a target that isn't a scout, we all warp onto gate.
- Target jumps through as we land. Even if gate was scouted some 20 seconds ago, we are all there and ready.
- Target dies in a fire.

The gate gun changes, where they start off hitting small and ramp up over time, actually would have done nothing but benefit me immensely when I was gate camping.

However, that's just gate camping which was a small part of what I did in low-sec as a -10.00. When I would actually go out on a roam to fight other low-sec entities, or anti-pies on a roam in fleets of 10-80, I had some of the best, or at least most exciting fights of my EVE-Career.

Fights would last longer than a smash and grab gank at a gate, 20+ minutes sometimes, caps would be dropped in small numbers and good times were had by all. But the notable thing is that they all happened on gates.

If this change were to go live, this would be the outcome:
- Gate camping would be more common as idiots flocked to lowsec as they believed it was "safe." Not only this, but it would be better organized out of necessity and initially a lot of highsec dwellers would die before everything goes back to how it is now.
- Lowsec fights, outside of gate camps and dropping carebears in PLEXes or belts would basically totally cease to exist and would only happen on POS towers or because both sides warped to a planet. This basically amounts to making larger scale low-sec fights totally consensual or not at all.

This would be bad for highsec dwellers who currently already lack the simple intelligence to avoid a gate camp, bad to low-sec dwellers as their activities are reduced to gate camping and pre-arranged fights.

But we all know how good CCP is at listening to feedback from its playerbase about gamebreaking changes they attempt to implement, so I am sure we have nothing to worry about!
