I wrote up something this morning to catch everyone up and get everyone back into the swing of things.

CSM 7 Summer Update

CCP Manifest tells me that the Minutes should be out before the weekend. CSM 7 will be holding a Town Hall shortly thereafter. Also, myself and a couple other CSMs will be on FunkyBacon's show on EVE Radio tomorrow night around 0000 EVE Time.

We have the CSM, a player elected advocate group, who CCP talk to, run stuff by, etc. No /power/ as such, but some influence. Some meet with CCP in Iceland at their Summits, some teleconference, and there's a bunch of talking on Skype.

They're doing up the minutes of the last summit. It's taken a while, but sounds like they're going to be a lot more detailed than before.

so tempting to troll. some how i seen that same post in the link somewhere..hmm...maybe it was some politician wanting to hear himself speak but otherwise. the minutes. i expected them in november. awesome they will be done sooner then planned.

I can not wait to read the sections on balance. I am less enthusiastic about reading forumers opinion on how any slightest nerfs to Drakes will destroy the game and drive everyone to WoW but I think they can be safely ignored.

Here is to hoping there is good news on the horizon concerning T1 Cruisers Balance.

Where I work we have a saying "minutes for any meeting that happened more than a week ago are generally worthless."

66,000 words and all could be the spaceship politics version of war and peace but its old news now.

Next time I think you should focus on brevity and aim to the have the minutes out within 2 weeks at the absolute maximum beyond the end of the summit. If the pure scale of writing is the issue here then you're clearly trying to produce something other than "minutes" and you've strayed into producing something quite different with an entirely different purpose.

Sometimes they talk about stuff under NDA we won't see for 2 years. So we won't know about that stuff, but at least we know that some players can at least see the plan and say "oh cool, or , um your kidding right? that's ******* stupid"

But thankfully if we never hear about *even in a few years* something they told the CSM, that means CCP listened to them, and we've better off never knowing :P
