I like Space Ships, SciFi things.

I get to play somebody I am not in real life. As such people in EVE think I am a socio path.

SandBox which allows me to kick dirt into other peoples eyes.

Eve is the only game that I have every played that draws me in on a serious level. I find myself taking the game seriously, I find myself considering my choices, my options. I find the challenge of human opponents to be exceptional and the risks exciting. There is a never ending progression in the game but it never feels like a grind, every moment I spend in the game is as exciting or as mellow as I want to make it. I can take big risks, or I can play it safe. I cant think of any other MMO ever made that has all those elements.

Eve is the best game ever made.

The reality of Eve is that, if you don't love it like it is today, you should probobly go ahead and unsub.

I guess most of us ''old players'' feel the same way.Though i am noticing more and more are sick of the wait and move on to other games. At least from a personal perspective i've seen a lot of the old friends leave this year .

We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.

why do you play EvE Online?
What drives you to log on everyday?
What is your force behind your impulses on this game?
Why this game over so many MMO's?

1. Most desirable mmo for observing systems in action (Social Dynamics/Economical Dynamics/Human Dynamics).

2.Having that feeling that someone is 0.01isking you while you are sleeping makes you wake up to 0.01isk people also people
watching, chatroom watching.

3.http://swiftandbitter.com/eve/wtd/ <- haven't done some of the stuff yet.

4. It is entertaining to watch systems(Social Dynamics/Economical Dynamics/Human Dynamics) in action within the confines of a long running experiment where the bar of acceptable social behaviour is set much lower(Relative to other generic MMO). Also the much more lower cost of running experiments on systems.

1: I only still play for the social aspect. And to help new players.
2: The social aspect. And occasionally the hope of finding good Exploration sites.
3: I don't know. Fun, I guess?
4: I can't fly a spaceship in those lame WOW-ripoffs (WOW included. It's so lame it's a ripoff of itselfCool).

And I'm not even kidding here.

Disagree with Point 4 as i have never stopped playing wow, i quite like the pvp dynamic.

But yes, good points however apart from number 4 :P

That's a matter of personal taste, I guess. I'm not that much into fantasy-MMOs. I'm more of a sci-fi person.

Huge scifi fan, spaceships, trolling the forums with well thought out posts (yes I suck at this bit), exploding stuff and more spaceships.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

1) Space chicks in spaceships
2) Making isk
3) Capital ships
4) WoW has supercaps?

Eve is about Capital ships, WiS, Boobs, PI and Isk!

Why? Because there's no end-game. The drive? The growth of my virtual self while being myself...in space.

Economy, Economy, Economy
Full loot pvp - even though I am a carebear (sometimes pvp means having someone to run from)

If there were a fantasy game that even came close to the complexity of eve I would be there in a minute. But, until that happens I will continue to move electronic parts from station a to station b.
