If the fighter changes are reversed and they can still rip through battleships...

Not claiming to be an expert, but wouldn't there still be no reason to take a BS over a BC 90%+ of the time?

Drakes could as battleships, fyi.
anyway, it's a 30-40% damage drop for the appropriate fighters. Not the end of the world.

If that is the case, Armor HAC gangs are going to be very popular again.

"rip through"

A max skilled Thanatos does 1.5k dps with fighters. That's JUST above a max skilled neutron fit Megathron,3 MFS, with void and Overloaded.

I'm failing to see this "rip through" you and many other blatent idiots keep crying about.

Fighters need to be able to attack battleships still. Fighter bombers shouldnt however.

BTW Escort ships.

lets get rid of everything except noob ships cos they are overpowered.

Everytime you buy something that says "made in china" you are helping the rising unemployment in your own country unless you are from china, Buy locally produced goods and help create more jobs.

A carrier DPS'es at a comparable rate to a battleship for a much superior price. I fail to see how that will make battleships obsolete.

Reasons to take the Battleship:

(1) Way more EHP. It's pretty trivial to get a battleship over 150k EHP. And it's easier to trade off some EHP for better resists so as long as you have enough to last until the logis start repping you, you're actually better off.

(2) More DPS, and I mean a lot more.

(3) Battleships aren't really much larger than battlecruisers, so they take more or less the same damage.

(4) Battleships are pretty good at killing fighters because they do more damage at longer ranges and they can fit large smartbombs, which can really mess up fighters.

(5) Fighters can attack anywhere within carrier lock range, so the superior speed of the battlecruisers is of limited advantage.

(6) Battleships can fit heavy neuts in their utility slots and it really doesn't take all that many Heavy Unstables to ruin a capital ship's day.
