Mwd + cloak in lowsec = you are unchacable

hello - this days even rifters make this move (mwd + cloak -> decloak and insta warp) - it is sick - many good changes will be in winter expansion. Can you please repair this mechanic too?

Leave it as it is. Why should this be nerved? The MWD + clock trick needs some training, good timing and a portion of luck. It is fine as it is. If you want to catch people for sure move to 0.0 and deploy Large Bubbles.

It needs to be changed if you want to warp cloaked use cov ops cloak

The MWD+Cloak trick should be consider as an exploit, you can initiate warp if you are cloaked using standard cloak and there is a reason for it.

because too many carebers use this trick this days and lowsec is not a space for such carebers?
they only want to do missions or plex with tricky cloaking and unchacable ships.

Sense of entitlement much? Just because you can't catch carebears doesn't mean that certain features should be nerfed. It means you need to get better at the game.

You do realize that if this trick was nerfed, you still would be unable to catch the people who were using it because they would stop going into low sec ?

There is a basic fallacy here: Changing the game to force PvP on player who do not want PvP will not result in those players doing PvP. They will alter their behavior to continue to avoid it. Up to and including un-subbing.

I'm kinda meh on this, although I can understand why some may dislike it.
But I will say catching them after they try it, makes the kill all the sweeter. Pirate <- Man I hate this new pirate smiley. Evil

Nerf scan rez and then you can talk. Until then, suck it up buttercup cause EVE requires skill and there is only 1 tactic that works reliably (cause warp stabs don't protect from alpha unless). You shouldn't ever have an "I-Win!" button in EVE and if someone wants to run the gauntlet you should consider it a challenge otherwise....go back to your EQ1 and camping the ghoul lord in Lguk circa 1999 game mechanics (back then, once you broke a camp they just died as fast as industrials or tengu to artty shots) cause I hate being popped seconds after trying to get through lowsec gates. You want to camp everything, you effectively kill the entire reason to camp a gate as no one will continue to try getting through unless they think they have a chance in hell of running the guantlet.

wast of time != be better at the game.
if it is a future i want someone from CCP to write it here - and thread will be closed
for me it is bug and bad working mechanic.
There is one ship with unique bonus and cloak should work like this on it. It is called Black-Op

but not on rifters, omens, myrmidons, megathrons or abbadons
so i dont want something to be nerfer - just repaired.
but if i am in mistake - ccp please write it here, because only you know, is this bug, or feature

If you can't catch a BS/BC using this tactic with your camp, then I'm afraid nothing short of a I-win button is going to help you......

funny thing about this thread topic and the people who put it up is you can be be pretty sure when solo and fitting a cloak they'd do the same thing. And who wouldn't? Just landed in 8 man camp, sure as hell ain't fighing your way out.


this is not an exploit. Its one of the few ways you can clear a gate camp. Warp stab is no protection agaisnt several points, sebo + res script can have lock times faster then most cruiser and aboves align times.....bascially fortune favors the camper. This about the only thing you can do to not die. And as noted above its not 100% successful. I am batting about .500 for it personally. Got me by a few camps, a few camps had frigate pilots who were good and/or lucky.
