I don't see the new changes making much difference at all tbh. Most miners will still fit for max yield. Cool

Then all is fine and everyone can continue doing what they normally do.

i think you under estimate the changes.
Nah it's more about not over estimating the miner playerbase tbh.

If I do decide to start shooting miners, I'll adapt. No biggy.

nothing been done to the max yiekd and that is good news
they not gank proof and it will take team effort now to gank the mack or skiff, there wtill will be plenty of people going for untanked hulks tho

besides the ones crying the hardest are the one who are too scared to engage in real pvp , something that can actually shoot back

My experience at school was that the bullies cry the hardest and had the lowest pain threshold.

I'm a miner myself and I dislike the EHP change... the art of tanking is gone... :/

Funny how that works.

This.

I never complained about any of my lost exhumers. I have no emotion invested in it, I say oh well and move on. Most of the situations I've lost them, there was nothing I could have done even if I had a "tank" hulk (lol) anyway. When I fit my hulks for yield, I consider it an assessed risk. I'm sure whenever I got ganked, the pirates assumed I was "stupid" for their own pleasure.

I value both my eyesight and the resistance to strain-related injuries like carpal-tunnel, so I don't "constantly keep at speed and aligned, watching all my sectors with my fourth eye on local". I really don't give that much a fk about it tbh. Again, assessed risk. But if I get ganked, I'm stupid and didn't know what I was doing.. Roll even if I say absolutely nothing.

Apparently I'm "doing it wrong" if I don't fit every slot with tank because someone said so, even though I deliberately chose not to do so as a calculated risk.

I think its funny this guy thinks this will stop gankers. IMO, the perma-geddon the Goons are financing at 100misk per 10 kills will go up to 200 or 300misk per 10 killed. They have the money to do it and I see no reason why they wouldnt if they wanted to keep the miner tears flowing.

atm seems to be mostly ganker tears flooding the forums lol.

Though I'd watch local and intel, there's hardly a reason to tank above the rats in nullsec, so I definitely wouldn't.

I did EFT the max yield hulks to see if/how you could make them tank the grav site rats if you happened to get them on you (and not on the tank)... meh.

(Newbies in retrievers would die, so you always need to tank it for em).

My experience at school was that bullies usually came from broken households where abuse from parental figures was the norm, and as a result incorporated the lesson that physical violence was an acceptable, even glorified, solution to personal conflicts with those around them. Drug abuse among those parental figures seemed pretty common too.

I don't really know what that has to do with a space video game though!

You don't think that there can be such a thing as 'bullying' in a 'space video game'?

Or that the personality traits that find expression in bullying behavior cannot find expression in a 'space video game'?

Lol, yeah sure that is what I was referring to. Frankly I am less bothered by people whining over being ganked. I can't really blame them for complaining when they are being hunted by angry 12yr olds with desperetly small e-peens. I can however laugh hysterically at the whining of said 12yr olds when the miners are given proper tools to defend themselves. Power to the rock shooters!

I doubt that most of them are actually 12 years old, or even teenagers. But on the other hand you don't need to be 12 years old to behave like you are 12 years old!

Some people love it when people whine over being ganked; thats why they gank people. But when the shoe is on the other foot, they don't see the funny side!

To some people the other players in this game are no better than NPCs, they are there to provide them with entertainment ('its just a game!'. I think that the MMO goes way beyond 'game', the social component is so important really its more like a social or sports club.

Which is sad. I've never understood people who get enjoyment out of ruining other people's day. It seems like a sign of latent sociopathy to me.

I agree. The "its just a game" argument doesn't fly with me. There is another person on the other side of the keyboard. That person is deserving of respect and to be left alone shooting rocks if that is their wish.
