Drones still need to be constantly monitored.

Since the advent of INCARNA, combat drones have failed to function properly. This is well-known. Has there been any word lately from the power-that-be that the problem will be fixed? Having to constantly monitor the beasts to ensure that they are not "idle" is distracting during intense engagements.

Thank you.

SINCE Incarna? Pfffft. Drones haven't been "working right" since their inception.

Yes, certainly, but they seem so much worse now. One commands them to engage a target, a few fly off, the others revert to "idle", and then must be ordered again and again to engage.

I have always assigned a hotkey to "All Drones Engage Target" and I spam it until it looks like they're behaving. What?

I just spam "F" to be sure because sometimes even 2 or 3 attempts are not enough Shocked

yeah I remember the time when I said to engage a target and they all split away into several directions.

sometimes chasing an invisible target, other times engaging an LCO. once a T1 warrior ended up like 200km away from me for no reason.

at least now they engage actual targetsLol

Me thinks, Comrade, that you are too lenient with your peon drones. Perhaps if you make an example out of a few and feed them to the reprocessor the rest should fall in line.

In Soviet Gallente, Drone command is you! Roll

All joking aside, yeah had this thing a week or so ago. Finished off everything in damsel but a couple frigs from the last wave, order the drones which were attacking the last BS to attack a frig while the guns chewed up the last hull and I alt tab real quick to check on something. Come back 2 minutes later and find 2 drones struggling to kill an easy frig in a timely manner cause the other 3 are taking a coffee break while chatting in binary around the water cooling pumps and solar radiators of my Vargur. Yeah, it was a binded command that I ordered them to attack and 3 blew it off...think if I left them on aggression it would of worked faster.

I wonder if this is an issue with the drones or with the key bindings - my drones seem to be behaving themselves fairly well - i.e. a bit uppity but nothing out of the ordinary.

My drones always seem to insist on having a union meeting before they'll engage anything, even with focus fire option ticked the little buggers will still try and take frigates solo half the time.

That said they're pretty good at taking aggro from battleships that haven't got a hope in hell of hitting a drone while I casually punch my way into their structure with projectile fire.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
