EVE New Citizens Q&A

Hey Guys!

I played EvE back when BoB was still around and Goonswarm still had it's orginal name. It seems A LOT has changed since then (Lovin' the Avatar thing yo!). With the refund of the learning skills I have around 2.5 million SP to spend and I'm still a bit weary of the 0 sec warfare that I was a part of back then.

So the question is what is the best way to get back on my feet carebear style these days? With this many points I could easily get into mining or be more hardcore pew pewer.

Also what did I miss out in terms of features and such? Avatars was an obvious change, but what else?
