I don't think you will find anything better at running lvl 4 Serpentis and Drone missions than a Navy Domi. It may not have as high DPS as a Vindi, but it's abilty to apply it's DPS as soon as it lands on grid make it much better. Plus the drones have much better tracking than large guns allowing you to take care of smaller ships much easier too.

TBH just suck it up and train for Kronos. I was pretty disappointed with Navy Mega / Domi. You can always go with a vindi I spose, but it seems like just as much work training wise, and gallente BS 5 will do plenty of good things for you. A safe Kronos will have 800ish DPS with reasonable skills, a semi-risky kronos can hit 900-1000ish, and that's on t2 mods only. Sprinkle in a little pimp and you'll really be plowing through the missions.

TBH the best advice is to cross train away from Gallente, as a long time Gallente missionrunner who now has access to all 4 races, you'll be pretty sad vs. a nice Caldari or Amarr ship.

Marauders have only niche use and I'd stay away from them completely. And Vindi will outperform it anyway, with expensive enough tank (X-type LAR etc), and if you're afraid of being scanned and ganked, just mission away from trade hubs, benefit of that is that you'll never encounter a ninja looter as well.

For serp/guristas missions however NDomi will work better. On ocassion even Amarr and Minmatar agents will give missions versus these factions, so I'd simply keep one Ishtar to use vs. them (and they arent main rats you'll go against).

There are multiple avenues of making isk, but SP wasted is SP wasted and you cant reclaim it. Many renter corps wont ask many questions and will accept your ratting alt so you can farm in null, for example, for better isk that highsec missions will give you (in good corp with access to upgraded systems or good ratting systems).

try hyperion... with good fitting skills and gunnery this can do quite a lot of dps using 425mm rails. just play around fitting t2 modules and u will find out a ftting pretty fast where u will end up with 600+ dps and decent tank

The vindi will beat the kronos by ~5-10 dps while having 5-10 dps less tank, but no tractor or drone link augmentor. Of course it can carry heavy drones, so I suppose in the rare case that you kill off all the little ships first and have time to wait for ogres to fly around, it'll get better DPS there. The tracking bonus is nice too, but then the kronos using 50% less ammo is also nice, and manual piloting against rats makes tracking a fairly moot issue.

You're right that the marauder SP is seriously focused. OP is already in a strong ship and is indicating that he's looking for optimization -- given that, I'd take the added utility of the kronos, given that everything else is relatively equal.

I agree, Hyperion is easy to tank and not very expensive, and keep a Domi/Ishatar for missions vs. Serp/Guristas. Faction ships and marauders arent for starting.

@Crove

You should have Noctis alt for serious missioning, that will have some industry refining and hauling skills. Yes w/o Noctis and 2nd account I suppose Marauder make more sense, but not definitely if you have it.

Also Vindi dont need a DLA because it's not a sentry drone boat. Drones are only for killing small stuff that came under the guns.
