I think that CCP should give the hulk more drone space I use one to mine and the drone bay is filled up with drones for protection, it would be nice to have more room to cary mining drones

what do you think?

this.

if anything the skiff needs more drones, not the hulk. the skiff can't even fit a full compliment of drones of any kind.

Light drones are almost useless against bs size rats.

The hulk should be able to fit 10 fighters, use one extra drone per level, have 8 turret hardpoints and the ability to fit XL Blasters.

After all if you are going to wish, wish big.

Mining drones are a drop in the ocean compared to the hulks mining capabilities, actually a well skilled pilot can kill a bs rat with light drones anyway, but mining drones are not needed for a hulk just a rack of meds.

The hulk is not a combat ship by design and does not need to change as an offensive platform.

Scammers are currently selling killrights on this toon for up to 5mil, if you have paid for this service demand your money back at once.

Killing me should be for free.

uh, it's an ecm drone, it jams the rat, so the rat can't shoot... not to mention a battleship rat can't track a light drone, you can pretty much perma tank a bs rat with a light drone.

in perfect condition mining drones are almost a 7% boost in yield to a fully boosted hulk (and ~11% for a solo hulk), call it 5% for sub optimal conditions, that's still better than a level of exhumer, equal to a level of mining or astrogeology or a 5% implant...
mining drones are actually woefully underestimated.

ok guys new rule: you do not get to complain about the limitations of a ship hull if these limitations are there specifically to distinguish and justify the ship's role.

Hulk - best miner in game can also kill 0.0 BS rats while holding a full compliment of mining drones... no one see's why there would be a balance issue with this?

Logical conclusion from this: If you are mining in 0.0 where NPC rats appear in the belts from to times, you need some compation in a combat ship to kill those rats off. This is common approach currently, which is absolutely fine.

why should you be forced to train non mining related skills to fly a non mining ship in order to be able to mine in null sec?

Incidently I also agree that giving any more firepower to a Hulk would damage the balance, fact is it gets a bonus to shield resists, will shortly get some increase to sheild/armor HP (not as much as other mining ships I know). I don't see why it should have more drones as well, particularly as the aim CCP stated for it is to make it a fleet miner not a solo one.

I don't know, if I as a combat pilot, have to train mining skills to mine and fly an industrial ship, I think it is perfectly OK that you as a miner should train combat skills to, you know, fly a combat ship and kill things. Seriously, I think your request is ludicrous, so let me spell it out: "You are in a mining ship, meant to kill asteroids. If you want to kill other ships, fly a combat ship."
