Problem with the launcher?

Hey there Smile

Got what I think is a slight confusing problem with the launcher. Just installed EVE on a new PC I've just built, and every time I load the launcher, it tries to apply a patch, fails, restarts with 'advanced privledges', then fails again, suggesting a system restart. No amount of system restarts & repair tool uses seems to be fixing it though P

The confusing part is, if I load EVE via the .exe in the bin folder, it is at version 7.42.395875, so what patch it's trying to apply exactly I have no clue Ugh

Do you guys have User Account Control turned on? I'm thinking maybe you need to either a) turn it off (which I do so I don't ever run into problems with apps trying to update themselves) or b) run the launcher as admin (assuming you have win 7 or vista of course. XP, your screwed I'd say)

Thanks for trying BC but still no good.... ive turned UAC off and rebooted then started eve launcher with administrator rights but i get the same.

Tried both to no avail :/ Got everything set up on my new PC exactly the same as it is on (this) old PC, yet it runs fine on the old one & not on the new one. The only difference is that, with this old one it was installed via steam, while the new one I redownloaded the client from EVEs website.

Sorry for the late reply I'm at the moment drowning in work.

Could you guys send me/post/etc. the launcher log file (and repair tool log if that is failing as well)?
