Social Corp's?

Are there any corporations made only for the social aspect of the game? I'm planning on doing lots of PvE before I get into PvP, and I was wondering if there are many corps made simply for chatting with folks, or maybe lending a hand every now and then? It would also be nice to not be in a war every other day.

I looked at the corp button ingame, but I couldn't get it to narrow down a search very well. I wanted to quit the noob corp to get out of the crazy high tax, but I just found out that you can't just pick up and leave it without going to a different corp. If somebody could point me in the right direction, that'd be awesomo.

Well there are a few channel you can join without having to join a corp and always have fun that way.

Mine is one of them (I just need to talk more in it as the host to make sure fun things are happening xD)

Also hi from dodixie xD

we are very social but only amongst family, we'd definitely be afraid of newcomers

Nah. Gotta leave my brilliance out there for everyone to see.

And it's really too bad I won't get to be part of the swamp. It really sounds.... umm... yeah. Maybe some other time...

Corporations made purely for socializing in EVE may just disband after creation as they all will fail. A corp needs a goal etc to work in EVE, usuallypeople working together on that goal a very social but it's something that comes with the other stuff. That chat channel isn't the main part why the corp excists.

Personal channel: Crazy Dutch Guy

Help channel: Help chat - Reloaded

Public roams channels: RvB Ganked / Redemption Road / Spectre Fleet / Bombers bar / The Content Club

I'm starting to see... Some of the "guilds" or whatever I joined in other MMO's tended to be the social types, and that's what I was used to. I think I'm gonna have to look at things just a little differently with this game... Smile

edit: So maybe this thread wasn't so worthless, after all. :-) Now, noobs like me can read it and see that there's more to being in corp's than just the social aspect. Good day, folks!

If anyone's curious, this is complete bullshit. Plenty of social corps do just fine, the trick is to just not invite complete twats that are convinced they're destined for failure.

The plot thickens.....

Well, I'll take all you folks' input into consideration. Guess I'll stick with my own little tax dodger corp while I look for fun channels. Maybe some day I'll find that special corp with fun folks that just like to chill Big smile

Click on the little speech bubble on your chat window to open a new chat panel and then enter the HELP channel.

There are generally lots of folks in there.

Alternatively, with many of the new player missions, if you just hang out in their systems, many players will ask for help..... so you'd need to be on the local system

You will probably have better luck and fun finding a corp that engages in the same activities, otherwise everyone will be fairly dispersed doing their own thing.
